Our rescue needs us.
Many of the cats you meet and fall in love with at Meow Dyer Cat Cafe are here because of the work of Meow Dyer Cat Rescue—and right now, the rescue has been hit with more than $4,000 in veterinary expenses in a very short period of time.
Some of those bills came from fighting for cats we sadly couldn’t save. Others are for cats like Leo, who still need us to keep fighting for them.
We’re sharing the rescue’s fundraiser because they really need our community right now.
If you’ve ever loved one of our cats, celebrated an adoption with us, or simply believe in what we’re doing here, please consider donating—even $5 or $10 adds up.
And if you can’t donate, please share the original post. ❤️
The cafe wouldn’t be what it is without the rescue, and the rescue can’t do this without you.
🚨 URGENT: OUR RESCUE NEEDS HELP. 🚨
We’ve been hit with one medical expense after another, and right now, Meow Dyer Cat Rescue simply does not have enough in our bank account to cover the veterinary bills in front of us.
In just this stretch of medical care, we’re looking at more than $4,000 in veterinary expenses.
💔 Crow & Sugar Baby — $2,050
Both required emergency veterinary care, and sadly, we ultimately lost them both. Their outstanding veterinary bill is approximately $1,700, on top of another $350 we already paid for Crow’s emergency ER care.
We would make the decision to fight for them all over again. Losing them doesn’t erase the cost of trying to save them.
🦷 Leo — $1,300–$1,900
Leo is scheduled for his much-needed dental surgery, and we’ve already had to put down a deposit toward his procedure.
🐾 Three neuters — approximately $300
Three of our boys went in for their neuters this morning—necessary routine care that still has to be paid for.
Altogether, that’s approximately $3,650–$4,250, depending on Leo’s final dental bill.
We’re setting a goal of $4,500 to help us cover these immediate medical expenses and keep saying YES to the cats who need us.
If 100 people gave just $10, that’s $1,000 toward these bills. Every $5, $10, $20 or $50 truly adds up.
We don’t want a low bank balance to be the reason we can’t rush a cat to the ER. We don’t want to postpone something like Leo’s dental because we can’t afford it. And we don’t want to have to choose between providing routine care for one cat and emergency care for another.
We need our community right now. ❤️
