Today in Lewisburg: walk around, shop, check out the Literary Fest, celebrate Plants Etc’s 49th birthday with cake, come to Bramble to win a goldfish and buy something, then go to The Public House of Lewisburg and show them your receipt for 10% off your drink and keep playing fair party games all night. Seems like a good day to me no? See you later! Patrick is playing the tunes. We will have the fish, some cookies, and a wheel of deals to spin if you spend at least $10! Fun times!

Lumibricks are so fun, I love building them while watching Father Brown and I think you should try it too! They’re easy and fun but also challenging. And yes they’re compatible with Legos! But they’re cheaper and they light up.

August came up on us real quick and we wondered… what are we gonna do for First Friday this month? Our friend Patrick aka Badger Von Bagel is down to play some funky psychedelic tunes and helped us develop the idea of having a little party to get hyped up for the state fair! So we are gonna have some funny games and prizes and sweet treats for you to enjoy! You may even win a discount at the shop…. Who knows???

So make sure to come out on the town this Friday! We have a bunch of great businesses in town that always pull together something special for the evening.

Look at all these new goodies rolling in!

New Country Roads trucker hat because we’re in the place we belong. New styles from Sock Candy (sar cute). Really cool art prints from Grace Vargason. Mystery hair clips! Muppet representation. Art books such as the work of Remedios Varo. More bumper magnets. More novelty hair clips. Preparations for fall (it’s not too early, it’s August ok?). New Busy World buttons. And lastly, Ernie is working from home building a new Lumibricks display because we sold out of one of them.

It’s almost a month away from a very special event! Two West Virginia-based songsters, Abbie McAllister and Becks! are coming to play at Bramble on Sunday August 30th. I highly recommend you come out, because it’s going to be delightful and so so good.

Here are a couple clips if you haven’t heard them before! First is Abbie 🦁 playing a hauntingly beautiful set for Western AF. Undoubtedly raw and magical.

Second clip is q***r Appalachian musician becks! bending the boundaries of folk music in a live field recording with the perfect balance of honesty and sweetness.
