Sometimes the little extras are what make a custom hat really stand out. 👏

This customer originally came to us for 10 leather patch hats, but decided to take the design a step further with embroidery on both the side and back. He also increased his order to 12 hats, qualifying the entire order for our first quantity discount.

And apparently they turned out pretty good…he’s already come back and placed a duplicate order! 🙌

We may be known for our leather patch hats, but your customization options don’t end with the patch. We can combine different decoration methods, placements, and details to create something that truly fits your business, team, event, or brand.

We may have been away from the shop... but ranch life doesn’t take a vacation. 🤠

While we were away, Braeden spent some time helping out on my grandpa’s ranch in Southeast Idaho with the Tetons as his backdrop.

His days were filled with repairing fence, replacing a bridge, running equipment, and tackling the kind of projects that come with ranch life.

The first couple of days, he wore a regular ball cap. By the end of each day, he ended up with a pretty good sunburn on his face and neck.

After that, he grabbed his straw hat we’d brought along.

He didn’t go back to the ball cap after that.

The wider brim kept the sun off his face, ears, and neck and made those long days outside a whole lot more comfortable.

It was a good reminder that a cowboy hat isn’t just about the western look. If you spend your days working outside—whether it’s fixing fence, running equipment, feeding livestock, or just enjoying the outdoors—it earns its keep.

That’s exactly why we love what we do, helping people find a hat that doesn’t just look good, but is built to be worn.

Now that we’re back, we’re back at it in the shop! We’ve got straw and felt cowboy hats in stock, and we’ll custom shape your hat so it fits your head, your style, and the way you’ll wear it.

War Buffalo & Co. will be closed June 30th through July 12th while we spend some much-needed time with our family.

While the shop will be closed, we're still here! We'll be checking email and social media messages throughout our time away, so don't hesitate to reach out with questions or to start planning your next project.

We're still accepting orders! Production will resume when we return on July 13th, so now is the perfect time to get your order on the schedule. By placing your order while we're away, you'll be one of the first in line once we're back in the shop.

We are implementing an important update to our ordering policy.

Effective immediately, all orders must be paid in full before production will begin.

We’ve had multiple instances, especially with rush orders, where time and materials were invested to prioritize and complete orders that were never paid for or picked up. As a small, family-run business, we simply cannot absorb those losses.

Because of this, we will not begin, rush, or complete any order without full payment received.

We offer easy online payment options for your convenience. If you prefer to pay with cash or check, payment must be dropped off in person prior to starting your order.
