This dress is almost 100 years old folks. This lovely lady took it home. Something I find astoundingly beautiful is the way an energy can continue on through antique clothing. When it fits…..it FITS. Starting with this dried hydrangea vignette:

Last Summer, Lou and I Would go on midnight flower walks round the neighborhood….
Turns out hydrangeas are a common plant on *public property. So midnight-flower-sharing turned into mudroom-flower-drying in hopes to preserve for a display I would make in a bleak wintertime that is now.
Alas, even the dead and softly flaking hydrangeas bring me some kind of warmth…ya know, that warmth only a summer midnight flower walk can bring.
