Found this incredible piece of vintage Western Americana sitting on the thrift shelf! 🤠🌾

​This is a ceramic covered wagon lidded jar made by The House of Webster out of Eastland, Texas. The detail on the wagon wheels, the draped canvas cover, and that warm tan glaze give it such a cool retro cabin or mid-century ranch vibe.

​House of Webster novelty ceramics were super popular mid-century kitchen items—often sold original filled with jams or jellies before becoming reusable cookie jars, butter dishes, or trinket boxes. Finding one with the original stamp still crisp on the bottom is always a treat!

Apparently, the thrift gods decided I’m collecting wedding anniversary porcelain now! 🏆✨
​Right after finding that 25th anniversary love birds plate, I turned around and spotted this vintage Lefton China creamer for a 50th "Golden Wedding Anniversary."
​It has gorgeous 24K gold script, delicate floral gilt detailing, and still carries the original red Lefton foil sticker on the bottom alongside the Lefton stamp ( #04180).
​Lefton pieces from Japan are such classic mid-century treasures. The gold detailing catches the light so beautifully!

Finding vintage porcelain with its original foil sticker still intact for $3.59 is an immediate yes! 🕊️✨
​This is a mid-century 25th Anniversary commemorative plate made in Japan by O.L. Japan. It features a soft pearlized lusterware finish that shifts in the light, detailed budgies/love birds on cherry blossom branches, and a scalloped silver rim.
​Plates like this were super popular silver anniversary gifts in the 1950s and 60s. That iridescent sheen when you tilt it on camera is so pretty!
