1970-80's Seamstress made Geometric Pattern Midi Length Dress with Pom Pom trim at hemline.

Seamstress-made midi dress in a striking geometric print of vivid yellow, chartreuse, black and white. Cut in a fluid, easy silhouette with long sleeves, softly gathered detailing through the body, and dramatic ruched cuffs. The neckline is finished with rows of black bugle beads and sequins, while the hem is edged in playful coordinating pom-pom trim ā€” giving the dress a wonderfully bold, late-60s/70s-inspired feel.

The fabric has a lightweight, semi-sheer, silky hand and beautiful movement. There is no fiber-content label; a burn test confirms it is **not silk**, so I would describe the outer fabric as a **silky rayon or rayon-type fabric**, with what appears to be a **nylon lining**.

**Condition:** Very good vintage condition. The only noted flaw is a small area of missing black sequins/beads at the neckline, visible on close inspection. No other issues noted. The dress has been professionally dry cleaned and is ready to wear.

1960s black velvet, but make it mod. šŸ–¤

This Gay Gibson velvet mini dress has all the right details: a high mock neckline, long sleeves, sculpted princess seams and that unmistakable abbreviated 60s silhouette.

Simple at first glanceā€”but the cut does all the work.

I styled it with a dramatic beret and tall boots because subtle was never really the point. šŸ˜‰

Mid-80s Oleg Cassini Black Tie ā€” sequins, feathers and absolutely no interest in being subtle.

Elegant vintage Vanity Fair Collectibles black maxi slip dress featuring a beautifully fluid, finely pleated body with delicate black lace detailing across both the front and back neckline.
The dress has an effortless lingerie-inspired silhouette with ultra-thin spaghetti straps, a sheer floral lace yoke and a dramatic low-cut back. Vintage Mary McFadden peignoir set in the prettiest shade of pink ā€” exactly the sort of thing I bought because I loved it, tucked away, and then rediscovered only to remember WHY I loved it.

This whole ā€œediting my collectionā€ thing sounded much easier in theory.
