o pieces that people think are worthless. Painting and restoring helps me destress from the craziness of life. There are many people who love to save good junk like I do and I love to share what I find and what I know with them. Everyone who helps me save the treasures and make them pretty again I call my Junk Army. What a strong group of amazingly creative people. This passion has grown into a small business and allowed me to retire from teaching and do this full-time. I love to wake up each day and do what I love. I also love to get to spend extra time with my daughter. I use DIY Paint, Sweet Pickins Milk Paint, and JRV products and more to make everything pretty again. I sell all of my furniture, home decor, salvage, antiques and more in my booth at Plaza Antiques & Collectibles Mall, 2621 Dix Highway in Lincoln Park, MI. My goal is to help to teach others to see the value in "junk", join my Junk Army & get out there to salvage, repurpose & create.
