My life under a roof is just to have my life from out underneath one. My passion for everything under the sun has grown into a lifestyle in which I would trade for nothing. New times have brought forth new issues. Our environment deserves respect. We seem to have no problem taking our share from it and lack on the giving back to it side of the deal. Land is not a renewable resource. Once it's gone, it's gone. Restoration, conservation, and preservation needs to be heightened. Habitat awareness is of the utmost on my list. Without habitat nothing is to inhabit it. What good is a house if no one is to live there. Deer need cover, fish need water, and ducks need wetlands. I wish them all a bright future and tend to do my part to do so. Traditions have gotten us here and roots have made us grow." -Cody Neer

Nebraska is nearly bankrupt.

In just four years, the state managed to:

- Turn a $1.9 BILLION surplus into a $1 BILLION shortfall

- Spend $1 BILLION on an Education Future Fund that will be insolvent by 2027

- Quadruple state spending growth

Here's what makes it a crisis: there are no lifeboats left.

Nebraska’s cash reserves- the emergency funds meant to stabilize us during downturns- have been raided repeatedly over the last three years to hide runaway spending.

While every other red state is cutting taxes and building surpluses, Nebraska families are stuck with one of the highest tax burdens in America. Property taxes, income taxes, and sales taxes are all above national averages.

We absolutely cannot tax our way out of a crisis this deep.

Nebraska is nearly bankrupt. This is not a one-off, it's a structural deficit. Taxes won't be able to make up the difference. There are no cash reserves left to bail us out.

Make no mistake: this is a crisis.

We finally got my 2023 trophy back from our taxidermist and I am so excited to have him home! What a tank ❤️ I never knew it was possible to fall this in love with an inanimate object, but here I am killing it 😂 I’m kidding, but he sure is a beauty 😍
