This was Ever.

A little boy who didn’t choose where he was born.
A little boy who didn’t choose the decisions adults made for him.
A little boy who didn’t know anything about immigration laws, visas, or legal status.

He only knew the place his parents believed would give him a better future.

Ever came to the United States as a child. He grew up here. This country became his home. He went to school here, worked here, paid taxes, built a life here, fell in love here, married here, and became the father of our three beautiful American children.

Today, many people see only the word “immigrant.”

I see the little boy who became the man my children look up to every day.

Somewhere along the way, we’ve allowed politics to make us forget that children don’t create immigration policy. They don’t choose where they’re born, and they don’t decide how they’re brought here.

Yet years later, many are still paying the price for decisions they never had the power to make.

You can believe in enforcing immigration laws. I understand that.

But I hope we never lose the ability to see the human being behind the case.

Behind every file is a story.
Behind every detention is a family.
Behind every headline are children praying for their parent to come home.

Our three children don’t see a political issue. They see their dad. They see the man who tucked them into bed, coached them through life, made them laugh, and loved them unconditionally. Every day he’s gone is another day they carry a hurt they never asked for.

Before you judge someone by a label, remember this little boy.

He didn’t grow up to become a statistic.

He grew up to become an amazing husband, an incredible father, and a man who has spent most of his life calling America home.

No matter where you stand on immigration, I hope we can all agree on one thing:

No child should have their humanity forgotten simply because of where they were born or the choices made for them before they were old enough to understand them.

As each day passes, I truly believe we are getting one step closer to having Ever home where he belongs. We continue to trust God’s timing, even when the waiting feels long.

Today, I’m also praying for our attorney—that God continues to give her wisdom, peace, and unwavering strength. Not only for our family, but for every person and every family she is fighting for. May He continue to equip her with the courage to stand up against wrongful detention and to keep doing the incredible work she does. She has never backed down from a fight, and I pray she continues to be the fearless, relentless advocate so many families desperately need.

We’re not giving up. We’re holding onto hope, standing in faith, and believing that breakthrough is coming. Ever’s homecoming feels closer than ever. 🙏

Happy Independence Day! 250years! 🇺🇸

As we celebrate the Fourth of July, it’s worth remembering that America’s story has always been shaped by people from many different backgrounds. The fight for independence involved colonists of European descent, free and enslaved Black Americans, Native American nations who made different choices during the conflict, immigrants who had settled in the colonies, and allies from abroad. History is more complex than the idea that any one group alone secured America’s freedom.

Our nation’s founding was built on ideals of liberty, self-government, and the belief that people should have a voice in their future. While those ideals were not fully extended to everyone in 1776, generations of Americans have continued working to make the country live up to those principles.

Today, we celebrate not only our independence, but also the diversity of the people who have contributed to building and strengthening this nation over the past 250 years. Remembering our full history helps us appreciate both how far we’ve come and the work that continues.

Wishing everyone a safe, meaningful, and happy Fourth of July. God bless America.

As many of you know, our family has been fighting for my husband, Ever, since he was taken into immigration detention. We are still waiting on the federal judge to make a decision in his habeas case. While we continue to pray for good news, the waiting has become one of the hardest parts of this journey.

Many people have asked, “What happens next?”

The truth is, we don’t know exactly what the judge will decide. One possible outcome is that Ever could be granted a bond hearing. While that would be an incredible step forward, it would also bring additional legal expenses and the possibility of having to post an immigration bond to bring him home. That means our financial burden could actually increase before it gets better.

I also want to help clear up a common misconception. An immigration bond is not the same as posting bail in a criminal case.

With a criminal case, many people are familiar with using a bail bondsman, where you may only have to pay around 10% of the bond amount upfront, depending on the circumstances and local practices. Immigration bonds generally do not work that way. If an immigration judge sets a bond, the full bond amount generally must be paid to secure the person’s release. For many families, that can mean coming up with thousands—or even tens of thousands—of dollars all at once. It can be an overwhelming financial burden, especially after months of living on a single income.

It’s also important to understand that an immigration bond does not end the case or mean that someone has “won.” It simply allows a person to be released from immigration detention while they continue attending immigration court, complying with all court requirements, and fighting their case. The legal process continues until the immigration courts reach a final decision.

At the same time, life hasn’t stopped. I am doing everything I can to provide for our three children while working full-time, paying our bills, keeping a roof over our heads, and making sure Ever has money for basic necessities while he remains in detention. Every week that passes without him home places more financial and emotional strain on our family.

Asking for help has never been easy for me. I’ve always believed in working hard and taking care of my family. But this has become bigger than what I can carry alone.

Asking for prayers, positive thoughts, and hope over the next few days for our family.

Yesterday marked 3 months since we filed Ever’s federal habeas case, and on July 5th he will reach 8 months in immigration detention. It has been an incredibly long and difficult journey for all of us.

While every case is different, it has been hard watching others receive answers and relief in a matter of weeks or a few months while we continue to wait. Through it all, Ever has remained strong, hopeful, and committed to our family.

We are praying that relief is finally granted and that Ever is allowed to come home to us while we continue fighting his immigration case through the proper legal channels. Our children need their father. Our family needs to be together.

We know this fight isn’t over, but we are asking God for a breakthrough and for justice, mercy, and compassion to prevail. Eight months is too long. Three months waiting on a habeas decision is too long. Enough is enough.

Please keep Ever, our children, our attorney, and the federal judge reviewing his case in your prayers. We are holding onto faith that good news is coming soon.

This journey has taught us not to take a single moment together for granted. So many of the little things we once saw as ordinary are now the things we miss the most. Life has a way of reminding us how precious time with the people we love truly is.

We can’t wait for the day you’re back home where you belong—laughing with the kids, making memories, and simply being together again. Until then, we’ll keep believing, keep fighting, and keep holding onto faith that our reunion is closer than ever.

Not sorry.

Yes, I know there are “friends” and even “family” members who don’t support my husband or what we’re fighting for. That’s okay. Just remember that when the truth comes out and the dust settles, the comeback is going to be much bigger than the criticism ever was.

What’s truly amazing is watching people expose themselves in real time—showing their racism, closed-minded thinking, lack of empathy, misunderstanding of the law, and sometimes just plain self-centeredness. It’s been eye-opening.

Meanwhile, I’ve chosen to focus on the good. Through all of this, I’ve been blessed to meet families from every corner of this country and from every background imaginable. Complete strangers have shown more compassion, support, and humanity than some people who have known me for years. Let that sink in.

That’s what America is supposed to be about—community, unity, fairness, and standing by one another during difficult times. Not hate. Not racism. Not the constant need to feel superior to someone else.

And for those who love shouting “follow the law” while knowing very little about how immigration law actually works, maybe spend less time repeating talking points and more time educating yourselves. Laws exist for a reason, and so does due process.

The reality is that government overreach impacts Americans too, whether some people want to acknowledge it or not. The difference is that some are paying attention, and others are too busy pointing fingers to notice.

But that’s okay. We’ll keep moving forward, keep fighting, and keep proving people wrong.

Some days I sit and wonder how my three babies continue to wake up every morning carrying such heavy emotions at such a young age, yet still somehow find a reason to smile, laugh, hug me, and keep going. Watching your children suffer because their father is missing from home is a pain I would never wish on anyone. There are tears, questions I don’t always know how to answer, sleepless nights, and moments where the silence in this house feels unbearable.�But if there is one thing this journey has shown me, it’s how incredibly strong my children are. They are hurting, yet they continue to love so deeply. They continue to pray. They continue to believe their dad is coming home. And because of them, I will never stop fighting.�No matter how exhausting this process becomes, no matter how mentally, emotionally, or financially draining immigration detention has been on our family, I refuse to give up. My children deserve their father. They deserve peace, stability, laughter at the dinner table, bedtime hugs from both parents, and the chance to grow up without this fear hanging over them.�Everything I do is for them. Every call, every court update, every tear, every prayer, every sleepless night — it is all for my babies and for the man they love so much.�To my children: I hope one day you look back and realize your mom never stopped fighting for your family, not even on the hardest days. There is nothing easy about being in the middle of a Habeas case while wondering every single day if your family will be the next one finally praising God for good news… or the next one devastated by another delay, another denial, another sleepless night.

People say, “just be patient,” “these things take time,” or “trust the process.”
But what they fail to understand is that TIME is all families like ours have left. Every single day feels like survival mode. When all is wanted is communication every step of the way.

The system keeps moving whether your children are crying at night or not. Whether you are mentally exhausted or emotionally breaking down or financially drowning trying to hold everything together alone. Bills still come. Rent is still due. Children still need food, comfort, protection, and stability. Meanwhile the world around you keeps moving like nothing is wrong while your entire life feels frozen.

What many people do not understand is that not everyone detained is some dangerous criminal the media tries to portray. There are fathers, husbands, providers, and human beings sitting in detention while families on the outside are left carrying pain nobody sees. Some have been here most of their lives. Some only know America as home. Some are still fighting valid legal battles while being treated as if their lives mean nothing.

And the hardest part? Feeling like the system does not care how deeply this destroys families mentally, emotionally, spiritually, or financially. It becomes a battle of endurance. A battle to stay strong for your children while quietly falling apart inside.

A mother wakes up every day praying she can continue holding everything together. Praying nothing happens to her babies. Praying nothing happens to herself because the thought of someone having to call her husband and tell him something terrible while he sits helpless behind detention walls is unbearable.

People outside of this life truly do not understand the depression that comes with waiting. The fear. The isolation. The anger. The exhaustion. The feeling that your family’s future is sitting in the hands of strangers who go home to their own families every night while yours remains separated.

And yes — it truly feels like if the government wants someone badly enough, there are people who will help destroy that person without ever caring about the human life attached to the case file. That is a terrifying reality many families are waking up to.

This world has become “every man for himself” for far too many people. Compassion is disappearing. Humanity is disappearing. Families are suffering in silence while others look away because it is not happening to them.

Wake up.
These are human beings.
These are children missing their fathers.
These are wives carrying impossible weight alone.
These are families begging God every single night for mercy, justice, and one more chance to stay together.

And despite all of it… we still pray. We still fight. We still hold onto faith because sometimes faith is the only thing this system cannot take away.
