We’re still smiling after last night!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the meet-and-greet and Apple Pie Bake-Off. We had such a great crowd, and the judges definitely had their work cut out for them—every single pie was delicious! Congratulations to our winner, Adrienne, and thank you to everyone who baked and shared their talents with us.

We also want to give a big shout-out to Smashed N' Stacked for keeping everyone fed with some of the best burgers around, and to Lost Forty Brewing for providing the refreshments. You guys helped make a great night even better!

One of the things that stood out most was watching Hallie spend the entire evening talking with people one-on-one. She wasn't rushing from conversation to conversation—she was listening. Everyone who wanted a chance to talk with her got one, and she took the time to hear their stories, answer questions, and connect with them personally. That kind of genuine interest in people is something you don't see every day, and it made a real impression on us.

As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, we're reminded that patriotism isn't about pretending we've always gotten it right—it's about believing in the promise of this country enough to keep fighting for it. It means standing up for our neighbors, welcoming those seeking a better life, defending equal rights, and celebrating the dignity of every single person as we continue the work of building a more just, more inclusive future for the next generation- That's the America worth celebrating, and we are here for it.

Thank you again to everyone who came out, shared a meal, enjoyed some amazing pie, and spent the evening in community with us. Here's to more conversations, more connection, and a future that lives up to the ideals we all deserve.
