From a simple idea to a finished piece—no pattern, just designed step by step straight from my head.
I wanted an easy, slightly cropped silhouette with a relaxed drop shoulder and wide sleeves for that effortless, comfortable feel.
The yarn flew all the way to me from Poland: Gabo Wool’s Baby Silk Yak, an incredible blend of baby alpaca, silk, and yak. Held double, it created a fabric that is cloud-soft, airy, and wonderfully warm. 🤍

A new knitting project is officially on the needles!
I went with the timeless and effortless Suzie Sweater by Paula_m (). I’m knitting it with the dreamiest, ultra-lightweight Lamana Como yarn (100% Superfine Merino) in this rich, vibrant royal blue. The yoke is growing row by row, and working these stitches is pure bliss.
It’s shaping up to be an airy, minimalist classic that goes with everything.

Like wearing a cloud—without the itch.
A classic from the wonderful : the Cumulus Blouse O-neck, knit in a very special fiber. This time, I chose Japanese silk mohair from Daruma.
It is whisper-light, impossibly soft, and has that delicate, subtle silk sheen that elevates the whole piece. Best of all: it’s the perfect match for sensitive skin. If you usually steer clear of wool because it feels scratchy, this gossamer knit is pure comfort against the skin.
With its minimalist silhouette, neat i-cord edges, and timeless neutral shade, it effortlessly pairs with your favorite classic denim or a flowy skirt.
Fresh off the needles—an everyday touch of quiet luxury.

A little cloud of joy straight from Poland!
Just had to share—this absolute gem from just arrived: Baby Silk Yak in the most gorgeous heather shade.
A blend of baby alpaca, silk, and yak is pure softness and luxury on the needles. I can’t wait to cast on my next project with it!

Cloud-soft, cozy, and impossibly lightweight. My Ballerine Sweater (pattern by Leeni Hoi / Urban Knit) is finally off the needles!
I knit this piece using Sandnes Garn Ballerina Chunky Mohair in a classic creamy off-white shade. It creates that dreamy halo and rich volume while feeling completely weightless to wear. The clean lines, mock neck, and airy texture capture the effortless, minimalist aesthetic I always reach for.
Truly the kind of sweater you put on and never want to take off all season long. Pattern: Ballerine Sweater by (Urban Knit)
Yarn: Sandnes Garn – Ballerina Chunky Mohair

A little Portland throwback
When packing for a quick weekend getaway, I knew I needed something light, cozy, and easy to wear. This striped mohair-silk knit turned out to be the perfect match for the Pacific Northwest vibe.
Honestly, love at first stitch! It’s weightless yet so soft and warm for those brisk, misty mornings. It was just right for strolling through the city, taking in the bridge views, and soaking up slow moments with a good cup of coffee in hand.
Quick trips are always the ultimate road test for new handknits—and this one passed with flying colors.

Stopped by Ritual Dyes | Rachel Bratcher in Portland on Friday ‚just to look’… and obviously did not leave empty-handed.

Between the gorgeous hand-dyed colorways and the cozy shop vibe, my willpower stood zero chance. My stash is happy, my wallet is recovering, and I can’t wait to cast on!

Sweater quantity or cozy shawl? Help me decide!

My Vega Sweater by is finally off the needles!
I couldn’t wait to share this one. It turned out to be the ultimate, everyday throw-on sweater I’ve been looking for. The fit is effortless, and those signature shoulder and neckline details make the entire piece pop (classic PetiteKnit!).
For the yarn combo, I went with pure Norwegian quality from my stash:
👉 Rauma Lamull held as the main strand (a lightweight, 100% Norwegian wool that gives the stitches crisp definition and keeps the sweater from losing its shape).
👉 Rauma Plum (their iconic mohair held tone-on-tone), which adds the coziest softness and just the right amount of dreamy, elevated halo.
The result is super warm, cloud-light, and squishy. The deep navy blue goes with literally everything (even my favorite floral pants! ).
Blocking worked absolute magic here—the Lamull bloomed beautifully, and the Plum mohair gave it that perfectly brushed, cozy texture.
