Throwback photo from last year’s Midway Fall Festival! This was my fifth year being part of the festival, and I just wanted to take a moment today to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out and shopped with me again this weekend. It was a steamer! 🥵 You guys are seriously amazing.
I know it gets said a lot, but shopping small truly makes such a big difference. The vendors you meet at these events aren’t like the folks you meet in a traditional retail setting. They’re out there in all sorts of conditions working hard to make money to put food on the table, buy gas, keep a roof over their heads, and take care of their families. Every single sale genuinely makes a difference not just financially, but in our ability to keep creating, showing up, and doing the things we love.
Thank you for choosing to spend your hard earned money with small businesses. Thank you for coming out in the heat, stopping by my booth, chatting with me, and taking something home. It means more than you probably realize. As much as I love my craft I am also incredibly grateful to be able to work for myself and make a schedule that allows me to be so present in my children’s lives. Thank you for being an integral part of my story and my success not only as an artist, but as a mother too. I love you guys so much.
