Have you wanted to learn to knit? Got your knits and purls down? Time to learn Brioche!

We have another class in our learn to knit series taught by Kate Robbins coming up on June 4. 2026. Two times are offered.

Our example shown is using Misti Alpaca Yarns Hand Paint Chunky yarn. Misti’s Hand Paint Chunky is crafted with our own “dyed to the stitch” technique using hundreds of colors in each colorway. The end result is a beautiful painted “canvas” of knit art. It is considered one of the softest fibers ever.

There is still plenty of time to sign up for our Brioche Cowl knitting class starting June 4, 2026.

The class will be at 2 times, 1-3 and 6-8 pm.

We recommend Misti Alpaca hand-painted Chunky yarn paired with one of the rich solid colors. Misti Alpaca Chunky is exquisitely soft and heavenly to knit. It is a favorite yarn of both the beginner & experienced knitter.

Teaching others to knit is the specialty of our local instructor, Kate Robbins.

On June 4th, we will start our next knitting class, learning the Brioche technique and using to make a warm cowl.

We recently finished up a sweater class at the shop. Led by Kate Robbins, the sweaters were knit with Malabrigo Rios (worsted superwash) and we had children and adult sweaters up to an extra large. All knitters were first timers at sweaters. Thanks Kate Robbins for the wonderful instruction.
