Christian devotional — June 11th — Day 162.
Today’s theme: Gratitude.
Proverbs 3:5 says trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. The problem with leaning on your own understanding is that your map only shows where you are right now. God’s map shows everything. The wise person asks to see more of the map before they decide which road to take.
Gratitude is not a feeling you wait for. It is a discipline. It is the choice to see what God sees — His fingerprints on your life, His faithfulness in the hard places, His goodness underneath the difficulty. The grateful person looks at the same hard season and finds what the complaining person misses entirely.
What do you have right now that, if it were gone tomorrow, you would deeply miss? Name it today. Out loud. Thank Him for it.

Today’s theme: Wisdom.
Galatians 6:9 says let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. The harvest does not come to the one who gave up before it arrived. It comes to the one who kept showing up, kept doing good, kept planting when the soil felt completely unresponsive.
The harvest is not proportional to your feelings about the work. It is proportional to the faithfulness of the work itself. Show up whether you feel like it or not. Plant every day. The harvest follows the faithfulness.
What have you been doing faithfully that you’re now tempted to quit? Don’t. The harvest may be one more morning of faithfulness away.

Today’s theme: Patience.
2 Corinthians 12:9 — My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Paul asked three times for the thorn to be removed. Three separate prayers. God’s answer was not healing — it was something better. The thorn remained. The grace remained. The grace won.
Your weakness is not a disqualifier — it is a doorway. The place where you have least capacity is where God’s capacity becomes most visible. The person who does something genuinely impossible because God was in it demonstrates something the competent, capable person never can. Stop hiding the weakness. Stop apologizing for it. It may be the very thing God wants to use most.
