AUCTION TIME

We sure would appreciate it if you took a look at this silent auction from 32Auctions for the 307th Bombardment Group Association. Not only because our daughter, Stacy thoughtfully put together some themed baskets & made a handmade patriotic bag, but others have donated some pretty cool 😎 items as well.
Speaking of cool 😎 items, I’m still reconditioning those old Hamilton Beach mixers to work like new and have donated one that you can bid on. I chose the Heavy Duty mixer in the iconic Jadeite Green that began production in 1940. It’s made from all metal parts with a cast iron base and built to last for years to come.
This auction is important to us because my dad, David H Greer, was a tail gunner in WWII. He was in the 307th Bomb Group who are still having reunions. We are a part of that group now and have been learning the importance of what those young heroes sacrificed for our country & why they are known as “The Greatest Generation”.
The current generation of airmen are the 307th Bomb Wing out of Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana.

Please take a few minutes to look at the 307th Auction to support education surrounding WWII and repatriation of our soldiers.

Many Thanks,

We need to keep up the good work out there since we are half way through July. With July as National Ice Cream Month it’s our patriotic duty ♥️🤍💙 to make and create new ways to celebrate that delicious flavored, creamy treat.
If you haven’t started yet, it’s time to begin. Of course😉 I would recommend a 😉 milkshake or a malt.

I don’t know if you saw this No Bake Cheesecake on my last post but it is now my best 🫢 kept secret…thank you Darvy.
If you like cheesecake, this is a great way to have a refreshing cool down. With the ice cream from the shake, it makes your cheesecake much 🥶colder, which has a wow factor. I don’t know if I can properly explain it, you’re just gonna have to try it.
I’ll get you started with the recipe below, but please send me your thoughts, ideas, and recipes so we can try yours too.
Ya’ll know I’m not promoting any products, nor do I get paid. I’m just rethinking ingredients and sharing an amazing combination!

Recipe:
*Loosely add ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, or desired choice)
*Half the amount of milk that you usually use for the size of your cup.
*1 to 3 dollops of no bake cheesecake…no judgement here!
*Add desired flavor, puréed raspberries, puréed strawberries, chocolate, caramel, lemon, lime, or your favorite flavor.
*Top with whipped cream, graham cracker crumbles and zest from fruit or drizzle the flavor of your shake.

FRIDAY FEATURE:

The Hamilton Beach 40 DM, 3 motor mixer began production in 1940. But in 1963 it was replaced by the 940 DM.
These strong mixers have a nostalgic style & color which was found in the 🧋Soda Fountains, 🍔 Burger Joints, and Pharmacy’s of the day. They could make 3 malts or milkshakes at the same time.
Since these mixers were made in the USA, and built to last, many are still working today. We would like to see a stop to trashing these heavy duty, cast-iron mixers into the landfills. Many can be saved and continue to put smiles on the faces of kids of all ages.

These are cRaZy 😎 cool mixers, especially for their age. They are cast aluminum with all metal parts and began production in 1951. Some are up to 75 years old 😲. In recent years the look-alike plastic mixers made today, just don’t last.
I really like to work on these because they are reliable mixers that make a great malt or shake.
These Hamilton Beach model 51s were made for home use, light weight, and it has a smaller footprint on the countertop. Don’t forget those beautiful colors from neutral to vivid.

I’ve been busy working on mixers and bringing them back to life, especially the medium duty, model 51 in those amazing colors. Also, the iconic model 30, heavy duty mixer.

Just another look at that Hamilton Beach model 18. The true color is difficulty to see. When I bought it, I thought it was just a light shade of cream. When I received it, that is actually a 🤍 white 🤍 base which is best seen next to the Jadeite Green mixer. Still difficult to photograph the true color. 🫥👇🏻

FRIDAY FEATURE:

What a show-stopper! 😯 Yes, this mixer has a unique shape and style. It was also Hamilton Beach’s first heavy duty mixer and commonly found in bars. They learned that it could easily go through ice cream, since it was strong enough to “chip” 🧊 ice pieces and mix drinks behind the bar.
So we know it’s a strong mixer, but I feel that it’s that label on the front that makes it such a show-stopper. Look at the detail and design. It almost looks like a trophy. 🏆 With the HAMILTON BEACH No 18 🏆✨etched as the winner. 😎
