„The light of the Sun begins a new solar cycle at Winter Solstice. The rays shine into the dark, and nurture the newborn life there to be cultivated. And this is mirrored in nature, as the seeds are buried in the darkness of the Earth, to emerge once again with the life-giving rays of the Sun.

In winter everything lies dormant in the silent earth, it is a sacred time of rest and reflection before the awakening and the slow build toward brighter days.
The energy of winter is that of going within. It's the fruitful darkness and silence out of which our soul's yearnings and new inspirations can eventually emerge. As we consciously link our awareness to nature's cycles, our understanding of our own personal growth cycles begin to deepen.

By allowing ourselves to feel our emotions and experience our own darkness, the darkness itself can become the spiritual cradle into which our inner light and new life is born.

For today let yourself rest in the peace of darkness, knowing the changing of the season, and the return of brighter days is ahead, be reminded you are always connected to Source, and your inner light never dims.“

Since 2015, Mother Miracle School has been honored as the 'Best School in Rishikesh.' Their students have collectively won 490 academic and athletic awards since 2009, which are proudly framed in the school's dining hall for everyone to see. Their graduates have pursued neurosurgery, engineering, and master's-level and doctorate programs in India and in the United States.

With our support, Mother Miracle School can provide under privileged children with the education, nutrition, healthcare, empowerment and extracurricular they need to create lasting change in their lives and communities. This way, together, we end the cycle of poverty in India. Sponsoring a child costs only $50 per month or $600 per year. Sponsorship is the beginning of a deep relationship.

The Evolution of Conscious Consumerism

We endeavor to consistently improve the ways in which we raise consciousness within ourselves and our society. We put a good deal of thought into how we chose to involve ourselves in this, our first, Black Friday. While aware of the hysteria of super sales and the potential for promoting over-consumption, we are simultaneously mindful of the truth that for many, paying full price for goods and experiences is a luxury they can't afford. Discounts and sales like those featured this week are often the only way some of us can afford items which coincide with our social and environmental values.

As we choose to participate in the excitement of Black Friday and all that comes with it, we continue to honor the artisans and charitable organizations we have made financial commitments to.

We make this choice with love and the intention of promoting equity.
