💫 When Vision Meets Opportunity: A Latino Business Story 🇬🇹

In 1974, a determined Latina entrepreneur named Yolanda Fernández de Cofiño (known as Doña Yoly) and her husband took a risk: they purchased Guatemala’s 🇬🇹 first McDonald’s franchise. But this was just the beginning... 👀

Instead of simply running the business, Doña Yoly invested in her education - attending “Hamburger University,” seminars, and constant training. This commitment to learning would soon pay off.
Day after day, she noticed families struggling with a common problem: parents ordering regular meals for their children, only to see most of the food go to waste. Where others saw an inconvenience, Doña Yoly saw an opportunity. 💡

She created the “Ronald Menu” - a perfectly sized meal for children with a small hamburger, right-sized fries, and a sundae. The idea was so brilliant that McDonald’s executives in Chicago took notice, inviting her to present at the 1977 World Franchisee Convention. By 1979, her innovation had inspired what millions would know as the “Happy Meal.” 🌟

But she didn’t stop there. She:

* Pioneered restaurant birthday parties (earning a “Ronald Award”)
* Expanded across Guatemala
* Built McDonald’s Mesoamérica (spanning 4 countries!)
* Created a 40-year family business legacy
* Passed a thriving enterprise to her children

Why does this matter to our Raza Collective familia? 🤔

Because this is what happens when Latinos combine:

* Education & continuous learning
* Strategic thinking
* Market observation
* Bold entrepreneurship
* Family-focused legacy building

From one franchise to an empire - this is the power of Latino business vision. The next industry-changing innovation could come from anyone in our community who dares to learn, observe, and take action. 💪🏽

¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana!

From September 15 to October 15, we honor the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities across the U.S. This month is a celebration of our creativity, resilience, and the incredible ways we’ve shaped industries, arts, and innovation.

At Raza Collective, we draw inspiration from pioneers like Guillermo González Camarena, the Mexican 🇲🇽 engineer who revolutionized the way we see the world by inventing the color television. His brilliance is a testament to the power of Latino ingenuity and the lasting impact our community continues to have on the global stage.

As we celebrate this month, let’s not only reflect on our history but continue building a future of opportunity and empowerment for the next generation of Latino leaders. Together, we rise—just as we have always done.

Join us as we celebrate the beauty, strength, and contributions of our community, and continue striving for economic empowerment and financial literacy for Latinos everywhere. 💪🏽💡📺

**Happy Labor Day!** 🎉👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

Today, we honor the hard work and contributions of workers across the nation. As we celebrate, it’s important to reflect on the history that shaped our labor force, especially within the Latino community.

One pivotal chapter is the Bracero Program, which ran from 1942 to 1964. This program brought millions of Mexican laborers to the United States to work in agriculture and railroads, filling critical labor shortages during and after World War II. Despite the challenges and hardships they faced, these workers played a vital role in building the backbone of America’s agricultural industry.

As we enjoy this day of rest, let’s remember the resilience, determination, and sacrifices of the Braceros and countless others who have paved the way for future generations. Their legacy continues to inspire us as we strive for equity and fairness in the workplace.

Here’s to all the hardworking individuals making a difference every day. ¡Feliz Día del Trabajo! 💪🇺🇸🇲🇽

What does this mean for tech & AI? 🤔 For investors? 💡 For Latino representation in finance? 👥

Drop your thoughts below! 👇🏽 Let’s discuss how we can ride this AI wave! 🌊

📚 Semiconductor Economics 101:
Semiconductors are the 🧠 of modern tech. NVIDIA’s chips power AI, gaming, and more. Here’s why they matter:

1. High barriers to entry = limited competition 🏰
2. Economies of scale = lower costs as production increases 📉
3. Cyclical demand = boom and bust cycles 🎢

Result? Companies like NVIDIA can see MASSIVE growth during boom times. But watch out for those busts! 👀

Understanding this cycle is key for smart investing. Ready to dive deeper? 🏊‍♂️💰
