💙G.L.B's 2023 Spring Trend Report:
(Women's)
I chose and listed below few trends that I saw repeated the most throughout some of the stores at the most notable mall in my city which happens to be The Domain in Austin, TX!!
Heres what stood out to me:
Leather/ Faux Leather Saddle Bags - saddle or Half Moon shaped bags were in several displays and I took note since I’m used to seeing the more universal square/rectangle. The more circular ones I picture as a go-to for a maxi dress day which is perfect for the season!
Pop of Color: The trend is pop of color paired with eggshell and/or off-white tones. This was literally in ALL the store displays, here are some of the most popular trendy colors of the season: Off-white, Hot Pink, Teal, Bright Tropical/Parakeet Green and as an honorable mention Lilac.
Clear & Transparent Bags - This trend has been slowly making its way from being a more background character to front and center stage and is most likely a residual from the ongoing Y2K trend. I think everyone should grab one of these this spring while they're hot, if not to pair with a cute spring outfit, then just for going to concerts and shows —if you’re gonna have one it may as well be cute!
Denim on Denim - This is one feels more like a classic than a “trend,” but since we’re here I have to mention the 70s which is the era it takes to me when I see it —not for nothing because that [to me] was denim’s best era — and it also seems to be whats seeping through in the denim world in general as we can see we’ve slowly been moving from skinny jeans to wide, flared and super flared jeans/pants this season, which likely will carry into the fall & winter in case you’d like to get a head start.
