We celebrated two sweet girls who have been best friends since they were 3/4 years old with a beach birthday adventure for their 10th birthdays. 🩷🎉

Had the best date night celebrating 13 years of marriage with my hubby. ❤️

Chris and I met in 2001, which means we’ve known each other for a quarter of a century. That’s wild. He told me when I was 13 years old that he was going to marry me someday, and I thought he was absolutely crazy. 😂 Apparently, he knew something I didn’t.

We started dating when I was 22, and here we are 16 years later, still choosing each other.

One thing I’ve learned is that healthy marriages take work. We refuse to become roommates, business partners, or fall into the trap of simply getting comfortable. The reality is that after all these years, we’ve both grown and changed. Learning who the other person is in each new season and continuing to choose love takes intentionality.

Our marriage isn’t perfect, but it is deeply loved.

I’m so grateful for the therapists, mentors, family, and friends who have poured wisdom, encouragement, and truth into our lives over the years. I truly believe it takes God’s love and grace to build a healthy marriage.

I’m especially grateful for my husband. He continues to grow, learn, and become the man God has called him to be. We are very different people, but God has taught us to appreciate those differences and grow stronger because of them.

Last night was such a gift. The music, the food, the conversation, and simply being present together. Sitting in Chris’s arms listening to the violinists play, tears rolled down my face as I closed my eyes and just breathed. In the middle of raising three girls, working full-time, serving, and managing the beautiful chaos of life, it felt so good to pause.

For a few hours, the music took us to another dimension!... and we were in bed by 9:30 pm! Major win! .concerts thank you!

✨ In My Family Era ✨

May I never leave this era.

I'm exhausted, but it's the best kind of tired.

The kind that comes from pouring yourself out for the people you love most.

This week looked like:
🤍 Full-time work
🤍 Launching a new video project at work
🤍 Chris's 40th birthday
🤍 Peyton's 10th birthday
🤍 Organizing Soccer signing party
🤍 Teaching dance
🤍 Dance competition prep
🤍 Prepping a sermon
🤍 End-of-year assembly planning
🤍 School contracts and future planning
🤍 Slideshows, lights, sound, laundry, meals, and all the little things in between

I've had people ask how I fit more hours into a day.

I don't.

I get tired. I cry. I pray.

And somehow God sustains me.

When you're on assignment and in alignment, God gives grace for the space. He multiplies what feels impossible and provides exactly what you need for the season you're in.

This pace isn't sustainable, and it isn't meant to be.

This week was for pouring out.

Next week is for resting, unplugging, and soaking in the people and moments that matter most.

Because at the end of the day, these are the days I'll never get back.

And I wouldn't trade my family era for anything. 🤍

Happiest birthday to my Summer sunshine ☀️💗

Six years of you, my girl ...and you have filled my life with more light than I could have ever imagined. You were the completion of our family, and even though I didn’t feel ready for a third, God knew exactly what He was doing… we all needed you so deeply.

You light up every room you walk into. Your confidence is contagious, and your love for life is something so special to witness. It’s wild to see such a little human carry so much passion in everything you do.

You’re my brave, bold girl....the one who’s kept us at the hospital the most because you live life full force 😅 but also the same sweet, creative soul who loves to draw, dance, and love on others so gently. That mix of soft and strong in you is so beautiful.

You are feisty and fierce, yet so full of faith....you’re often the first to lay hands and pray over someone 🥹🙏

I can’t wait to see all that the Lord has in store for your life. Daddy and I pray over you constantly and feel so incredibly blessed and honored to be your parents.

The process is the pruning.
It is the prayers.
It is the pain.
It is the poor decisions.
It is the apologies.
It is the late nights and the early mornings.
It is the hard conversations.
It is the courage.
It is the refinement.
It is the breakthrough.
It is the trust.
It is the hidden spaces.
It is the reformation.

The process is rarely glamorous....but it is where growth is born, character is built, and purpose is revealed.... May we all be brave enough to allow God to develop our gifts and grow to help heal this world that so deeply needs each of our love and unique color🫶🏼

The final two lessons hit far beyond junior high....they apply to life.

3. Fail early and fail often. Failure is not the end, it’s often part of the journey. If you don’t win right away, get the audition, or make the team, keep going. Use grit, determination, curiosity, and discipline to grow. Never let other people define your worth...know who you are and keep pursuing your goals with integrity.

4. Never get bored of the basics. Manners, discipline, consistency, hard work, showing up, practicing the fundamentals....these things never go out of style. Never feel above the small steps that built your foundation. Basics are often what create lasting success.

These are the lessons our rising generation needs now more than ever. 🫶🏼💕🤟🏽

I stepped away from something I loved…

I stepped away from a women’s ministry that meant so much to me... building for a decade.
Not because the passion was gone.
But because God made it clear my first calling needed me more.

My home.
My marriage.
My girls.

Sometimes obedience doesn’t look like building more, leading more, or doing more.

Sometimes obedience looks like pressing pause.

The last 15 months have been quiet work.
Therapy. Prayer. Hard conversations. Healing.

Chris and I have been choosing each other for 16 years (married 13), and marriage and raising three girls is beautiful… but also messy and refining.

You might see the highlights...
dance competitions, soccer games, smiling photos.

But behind those moments are injuries, tears, late nights, early mornings, packed schedules, sacrifice… and a whole lot of love.

This weekend I soaked up time with my littlest while cheering on the older two, and it reminded me again..

This season is sacred.

I’m 38 with a heart still full of dreams, creativity, and vision.

But God continues to gently slow my ambitious spirit and remind me to trust His timing.

Because at the end of the day, the greatest thing I’m building…

is our family. 🤍

We are launching the first Inland Empire educational pathway intentionally designed to be tailored to each child’s unique interests, future goals, and God-given strengths.

Our students will be developed in academic excellence while being deeply rooted in biblical knowledge, character, and values. We believe this rising generation is in desperate need of courageous, confident leaders and it is up to us to help instill in them the confidence and conviction to become true change agents.

We are especially excited to welcome our newest educator, who will be working closely with a small, carefully selected group of students. This program is designed to be transformational ...shaping lives now and making an impact for years to come.

🤍 Family Chapel at Daybreak Academy 🤍

This week we gathered for our first family chapel of the year....TK through junior high worshiping together, celebrating birthdays, sharing announcements, and learning our January theme: Humility.

We reflected on John 13, where Jesus, the perfect Son of God, knelt to wash His disciples’ feet. A powerful reminder that true greatness is found in serving others with a humble heart.

We shared a story about a little boy who chose to do the right thing when no one was watching .....cleaning up, not for praise or a reward, but because his heart knew it was right. That’s the lesson we want our children to carry:
✨ We don’t do good to get gifts.
✨ We do good because the Holy Spirit is shaping our hearts.

Our prayer is that our students never mute the goodness inside them but grow it. That they would listen to that still, small voice and choose kindness, service, and integrity every day.

📖 “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.” — John 13:14

So grateful for the joy and gift of sharing God’s Word with our Daybreak families 🤍🙏

📚✨ Our Country Needs Educational Reform ✨📚

Once you begin to truly research the state of education today, you can’t help but feel a fire ignite within you. 🔥 Our classrooms are often lacking the very development and influence our children deserve.

As someone with a background in education and child psychology, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply our system needs transformation. This isn’t just about curriculum or freedoms (though those matter too) the root goes deeper. For decades, our system has been stagnant, declining, and far from delivering excellence.

👩‍🏫 Classroom sizes of 25–35 students leave teachers managing behavior instead of elevating minds.
📊 Grades and benchmarks overshadow curiosity, creativity, and the love of learning.
💡 Our kids deserve more than being managed, they deserve to flourish.

I hold onto the wisdom of thinkers like Benjamin Bloom (who believed all students can achieve given the right support) and Richard Baxter (who emphasized moral, spiritual, and practical education). Both remind us: education must be about shaping whole humans, not just test scores.

🌱 Change takes time, energy, and sacrifice ...it’s a labor of love, but the greatest gift we can give the next generation.

🙏 My hope? That more of us research, reflect, and ask where God is guiding us to make an imprint on this rising generation.

Keep fighting the good fight. Keep it classy & kind. Because in the end ..love wins🤍🤟🏽
