I make fun things for fun people! All items are from USA Handmade in California by me I’m a 1 person shop that does it all on my own. From design, pattern drafting, sewing, formula developments, to artwork. I proudly do it all myself. Supporting me supports an independent artist doing her craft. And for that, you rock! I'm D. nbow (it's my favorite color), am a big animal lover, and like to do things that are more on the advant-garde side of things. I call my company Shallow D'Lights because it is kind of a play on my name but also I feel that having something that you want so badly is a Shallow Delight! I have been sewing things from the age of 2 and got my first sewing machine when I was 5. I originally started making clothes for myself because I couldn't find things in stores that I liked. I Love DIY stuff and find that it is not only challenging to deconstruct and reconstruct a garment but it also has an uniqueness to it. With wellness, that also came to be out of necessity. I’ve always been extremely sensitive to medications. Taking Tylenol makes me dizzy. So I needed a way to find relief for my ailments that didn’t have adverse reactions to me. I’ve been obsessed with essential oils since 1998, my sophomore year of high school. My biology teacher told us in class that lemon stimulates the brain to remember. I remember immediately being intrigued. I remember thinking that studying would become much less of a task. From there, my exploration into homeopathics began. I'm kind of an all around crafter. I enjoy knitting, cross stitch, making my own aromatherapy, wellness/health, beauty and cleaning products too. I just really enjoy working with my hands. My medicine cabinet consists of mostly essential oils and other homeopathic natural remedies. My friends have told me that one day I'm going to be that hippie mom that wears designer clothes... Lol! I have a BFA in Fashion Design and a minor in Marketing from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa, Florida. I also have education from the Centre of Excellence for homeopathic medicine. I have had many commissioned works. Now I have chosen to sew my own designs and make custom blends/products. But I still do accept custom orders anyway! Please let me know what you're looking for. Whether it's fashion related or handmade products, I can probably make it happen for you.

Etsy deactivated my amiibo artwork listing. I’m really having a love/hate relationship with their platform. First they raise their fees. Which in result makes it more difficult for small makers/shops like myself make money. Secondly they no longer truly represent a community of artists who produce unique wares. I’m at a crossroads on if I should continue with Etsy or close down completely. I price my items extremely competitively. Most items are on par with mass market pricing. This is with the exception of a few one of a kind items. I do not feel that Etsy really has the best interest for the shops and are more about profits for themselves.

If you enjoy shopping from handmade artists, I urge you to sign this petition. Etsy is one of the only viable selling platforms for many makers, including myself. Yet, with this fee increase, I will only have 2 choices: raise my prices (which I feel are fair and reasonable) or leave the platform for good…which would most likely be the end of me selling online for the foreseeable future. Etsy has really changed since what they originally represented.

Etsy was founded with a vision of "keeping commerce human" by "democratizing access to entrepreneurship." As a result, people who have been marginalized in traditional retail economies -- women, people of color, LGBTQ people, neurodivergent people, etc. -- make up a significant proportion of Etsy's....
