The ‘75 film Three Days of the Condor with Redford and Dunaway was the inspiration for this 70’s vintage look taken the same day at the historic Lavetta Terrace stairs in Echo Park. For me, anytime I can integrate a vintage pea coat it takes me to this film. Directed by Sydney Pollack it’s worth seeing. Jade .a.christensen and I had the best time with our seventies vintage photoshoots before and after opening Look. .vintage We were non stop, it was fun! These seventies pieces landed at Look Vintage. Indulge me, last shot. Burrito King was by far my favorite location that day from this seventies vintage photoshoot. We were shooting all over LA with various looks. This was an homage to Graham Parsons who put it on the map. Burrito King was a part of our lives in our music scene. It was often our last stop of the night after playing a show, seeing a show, and DJ’n. Running into friends, hilarious things happening, and I loved their food. Burrito King was part of our community, and our little paradise in Echo Park. It was an incredible time in Los Angeles. For me and so many others it’s symbolic of what we had. Life was amazing with so much music and time to create whatever inspired us. Jade .a.christensen and I opened Look .vintage shortly after this shoot. The seventies vintage landed there. From a seventies vintage photoshoot Jade .a.christensen & I had done with Jenny right before opening .vintage Burrito King being one of the the last stops. We were all over LA that day. Had to tribute Graham…at that landmark location. Probably ate there after as it was the end of the day and always fun. Echo Park is my home. What is happening here is very sad with developers taking over for their boring, homogenized, empty buildings that stay empty forever. No one wants them. People are loosing their livelihoods and their homes due to these developers and it keeps happening. We were an incredible, tight knit community with so much music, art, and fashion. People had a point of view. We supported each other. We had a quality of life and the freedom to accomplish what we wanted to do and not just survive. It was really beautiful and paradise for myself and so many.

Thank you for having .vintage as part of your holiday block party and thank you Kelly .babies! So many amazing people came and shopped! So much fun! This was the first event Look has done since I’ve closed the store front and it was completely inspiring. Kelly is now part of Look, has exceptional taste and is bringing her exquisite Edwardian collection to the mix along with more beautiful 70s pieces. If you have not had the opportunity to dine at Bar Siesta their tapas is beyond! Look Vintage will be doing more events. Stay tuned. ♥️
