Berlyn originally from a small town in Arizona, is the youngest of 6 children along with her twin sister. Berlyn grew up in a traditional family while her mother, stayed at home and her father, who specifically traveled in his role as Construction Superintendent overseeing some the largest, most challenging projects in the world. Although she grew up in a small town, she knew that there were bigge
r opportunities for her outside of Miami. Growing up she crafted her innate ability to freestyle in picturesque type artwork that she designed specifically for herself, family and friends. Through the years her creative craft has developed from drawing, painting on paper, to walls, hats, boots, and finally clothing. After high school, she moved to her desired location of Los Angeles, California. There with family belief, new friendships and a valued mentor, she began to realize her potential and self-worth and enrolled herself into the Fashion Institute. Berlyn’s direction in fashion was leaning more towards women’s. During time she started preparing a line based on her sisters baby boy and her brothers baby girl, being just two months apart from each other these children impacted and enlightened Berlyns life so much that she couldn’t resist dressing them. Berlyn was inspired to make their style different and the perfect fit for their personality. Quickly it became popular with friends and family only to motivate Berlyn’s new admiration for the birth of JCK Children’s clothing in 2009. Berlyn is set to have every kid love what they’re wearing when they are wearing Jagged Culture KIDS. Berlyn’s joy in life is to bring a positive outlook through Art and Fashion, to see her creativity in fashion all around the world and successfully fulfill her dream of having her “JAGGED CULTURE” designs showcased in major trend setting markets…She will see you, on her rise to the top. In addition, to her love for art, children and animals, Berlyn continuously gives back by volunteering at children’ organizations, personally assisting the elderly and promoting animal rights.
