What I didn't expect when I started building MOI was that I'd become a designer. An inventor, yes — that felt intentional. But the design sensibility snuck up on me.

Somewhere between sourcing materials and obsessing over proportions and asking why does this room feel safe? Where is the play? — I realized I wasn't just making a product. I was making something that had to belong somewhere.

I love this nursery because play is present but subtle. That color-blocked storage wall is the first thing a child's eyes go to — high contrast doesn't need to be black and white. Color is one of the earliest forms of visual stimulation. The rocker says: a parent lives here too, and their visuals matter. The toys aren't hidden — they're displayed like objects worth noticing.

The Nest was designed to belong anywhere. In a room like this one. In a rental with white walls. In a corner of a New York apartment where every inch is earned.

That's the standard I hold it to.
