Today was one of those unforgettable moments in my journey. I had the honor of meeting with the PRESIDENT of AMERICAN UNIVERSITY, my future school, and it meant so much to be able to introduce him to my family.

We talked about my journey so far: serving as president of my high school, organizing as an activist in Los Angeles, and standing up against an administration that continues to harm and dehumanize our communities. I also shared that I’m not coming in unprepared, I already have an agenda for my freshman year, and I’m ready to get to work.

He was incredibly kind and encouraging, congratulating me and expressing how grateful they are that I chose their university. He also said he doesn’t meet with every student coming to his school but I was one he really wanted to meet. That meant more than I can put into words.

But the most powerful part of today? Seeing the pride in my parents’ eyes. That feeling is priceless. And of course, my two brothers, my forever cheerleaders, were right there with me.

It was a successful day, and this is just the beginning. I’m ready. 💫

Yesterday I stood with my community at the No Kings rally holding this sign.

I stood there not just as a protester, but as a young Latina, as the daughter of immigrants, as someone who loves deeply “mi gente y mi pueblo.”

It hurts to see the fear that our immigrant community is living with every day. Families separated, parents afraid to go to work, children afraid to come home and not find their parents there. No human being should have to live with that fear.

I raise my voice because many in our community cannot.
I stand because my parents taught me to never be silent in the face of injustice.
I fight because our people are hardworking, noble, and full of dreams.

We are not criminals.
We are workers.
We are parents.
We are students.
We are human beings.

And we deserve dignity, respect, and the right to live without fear.

I will continue to speak, to march, and to fight for mi gente, for mi pueblo, and for every immigrant family that deserves to live with hope, not fear. ✊🏽

“Dad getting interview about my achievements”

Hearing that my dad is proud of me and my hard work at school means more to me than words can explain. Even though he doesn’t always say it out loud, hearing it today truly touched my heart. It reminded me how much his support and love have guided me throughout my life.

I feel so proud and grateful to have the best dad on earth. I love you, Dad. Thank you for believing in me and always being there for me. ❤️
