Below the large print on the Village Track Jacket is a subtle nod to the heritages of co-founder’s Mayra and Avery, coming from Lima, Peru and Olongapo, Philippines.

It was an important part of the design to align with the “it takes a village” message as a tribute to their families.

VILLAGE HEART is having a communal mentality. When making the tracksuits, we relied heavily on the skilled folks to guide us. Our pattern grader, Oscar, has been in the industry for 25+ years and was so kind to sit with us for hours and teach us about his craft and upbringing.

From 11/24 to 11/27 (Thu-Sun), we’re donating 50% of ALL SALES to fund the “Feelings Matter” project, providing 9th-12th grade students from low-income households, access to creative and mental wellness tools.

Ms. Ortiz is a psychiatric social worker and teacher leading the project at Edward Roybal Learning Center. The goal is to promote self-regulating coping skills for students to better manage their mental health. Your purchase would help the class in getting various equipment such as a Cricut Cutter.

At MPCo., we use our own Cricut for prototyping designs. It wasn’t until our mid-20s that we had access to this. How incredible would it be to give high school students an early opportunity to express themselves with such creative tools?

We know Thanksgiving may mean different things to different people. For us, it’s a reminder to serve those around us. In this case, a class of students at a school that is quite literally close to home.
