The High Low Brown Herringbone Dobby Jacket is the perfect layering piece for cool mornings and nights. Made of a custom fabric from Japan that has been rinsed to remove all shrinkage and soften up the garment. The very comfortable yarn dyed herringbone dobby with indigo stripe is used in several Freenote pieces but none better than High Low. This style is very limited with only one of each size small through xxl available at The Cloth Shop in Highland Park. The next big delivery is happening tomorrow for Freenote Friday including new engineer boots from Nicks and Lofgren, RJ1 Denim, and Tigers Aloha.

The Cloth Shop in Highland Park is loaded up with spring and summer wovens. Featured here is the Modern Western S/S Clear Blue Chambray made of a beautiful light weight 6 ounce fabric from Japan that has been rinsed to remove all shrinkage. Equipped with sawtooth pockets, 1/8” double needle stitching, custom bone top button, and pearl barrel snaps from Japan.

This denim style named The Wilkes made of 14.25 ounce Broken Twill Denim from Japan was one that put Freenote Denim somewhere on the map. It’s a cowboy denim in a cowboy fit that works well with all types of footwear choices. We also just added this denim fabric to our popular Modesto which is a workwear fit and team favorite. Broken twill’s zig zag pattern reduces much of the twisting in denim when it is washed and worn. Freenote Denim is proudly cut and sewn just 10 miles from the shop in Highland Park.

dropped in hard to Highland Park last night. Three new styles including our favorite Scout, an all new Navvy Cut Shoe, and the classic Service Boot are looking real nice on our boot wall. Several years ago our goal was to have the most complete boot wall in Southern California and we like to offer many styles to match with your denim or chino choice.

We are proud to add Nicks Boots to our footwear collection. As long time engineer lovers, we were immediately drawn to The Brakeman. A classic engineer sileouhette that is not too bulky, but not too low profile. Perfectly balanced, these boots pair well with our workwear pants and denim. Our latest engineer delivery features Horween’s famed CXL Leather. Thank you for the beautiful boots to add to our boot wall.

The Dayton is Freenote’s interpretation of a classic industrial or garage style shirt. Drawing inspiration from vintage examples dating back to the 1950s, it features a camp collar, double pockets, and metal reproduction buttons from Japan. For the fabric, we wanted something that would be sturdy, durable and comfortable. The custom 7 ounce indigo yarn dyed stripe fabric has been rinsed to remove all shrinkage from each shirt.

This Saturday May 2nd is our Annual Sample Sale from 10 am till 5 pm. All week we are collecting every pre-production sample, one off, past season product, and any items with slight imperfections. This is a follow up to our crazy popular collaboration in C.F. Stead’s Crazy Cow tannage. While pouring over White’s extensive historical archive of footwear, we stumbled upon something we hadn’t seen before, a lineman patch that is an extension of the upper leather covering the ball of the foot of the vamp. A subtle yet striking detail. Like many workwear details, we gravitated to this functional detail for its unique visual impact. White’s had a just enough Crazy Cow leather leftover from our first run to do a sequel. Whether the sequel is better than the original is something we will leave to the boot loving public.

The Calico is back in action for spring in a lightweight five ounce yarn dyed chambray from Japan. This is our take on the classic sawtooth western, where we modified the traditional pocket flap down to a single point. The curve on the pocket matches the front yoke perfectly giving the shirt a unique custom look while keeping that original western character intact.

We are cranking out denim jackets this week and next to reload Highland Park. High Lows, RJ-3s, Faros, and CD-1s are all on the sewing line just 10 miles from The Cloth Shop. Featured here is the RJ-3 Broken Twill and High Low Natural Indigo which will both be available in sizes small through xxl.
