: I wanted to share some words from Breeze () on the approach of incorporating flowers for our shoot — “To convey the story of rebirth, I definitely wanted to incorporate flowers. However, instead of selecting flowers solely based on their aesthetics, I chose flowers based on their symbolism. With each set, the meaning of the flowers gets more powerful, and so does the number of flowers included in that particular look. The first set conveys a sense of desolation that is contrasted with the use of a single flower: the bells of Ireland. Among the dull plants around her and her expression of malaise, the single fresh flower serves as a guide and a symbol of hope in the face of adversity.”

‘London has been an outlet for me that has helped me create some of the best moments in my life in back-to-back years. It's kind of like one of those things you would have had to be there in order to truly understand. I never knew I could fall in love with a place so deeply in a limited time. It's like gravity is just way stronger there for me than anywhere I've been. I have a saying, but I can't coin it as my own. It goes ‘go where the love is’ well for me the love is here. London has become a special place in my heart, I'm just thankful to have experienced some- thing that has helped me transcend both my personal and creative life. “At the end of the day, I’m just a Black and Filipino kid from Jacksonville, FL who’s moved around a lot from the Bay Area of California, to Chicago, Salt Lake City, now Seattle, and traveling around both domestically and abroad. I am always grateful for the opportunity everyday to wake up and do this thing called life while sharing joy with so many amazing individuals on this earth who I take a piece with me everywhere I go. To a certain extent, we all have privilege and I’m just very blessed to have the ability to be able to pursue all of this. I’m no better than anyone else and everything that I’ve done you can do too as well, but in your own special way.” -

Featured Creative: in Volume III Issue II-BOUNDLESS

Going beyond the knowledge, training, process, and opportunity, Vince Perry Jr.’s heart for people has led him to be a true master of his artistry in photography and film. His ability to give artists a space to dream and feel peace cultivates a safe environment to create each ones’ individual visions, allowing him to connect with people from different cities and cultures around the world.

Vince’s progress in photography and film inspires us to recognize our own potential to propel where we want to be in life no matter where we begin. Sharing his journey through youtube is another form of Vince’s appreciation for people and cultures, motivating and challenging us to break out of our comfort zone. Vince continues to inspire people from all walks of life, and the community that he created is now a home for many creatives.

“My name is Michelle Hébert [Ay-Bair]. I’m a multi-disciplinary artist and for the past 10 years, ever since leaving community college, I have been an independent fashion designer by trade. I illustrate, paint, sew, film, write, and find that creativity is best experienced boundlessly.

My belief is if a medium calls to you, chase it. When we create, we are conversing with ourselves and others in languages not solely bound by an alphabet.

Since I was 10, I’ve wanted to explore fashion design and become a designer. I didn’t even know what I wanted was called a “Fashion Designer” but something about creating wear- able forms of expression called to me, and I ran after it.

I’ve been lucky in many, many, ways. I am not blind to that. I do not believe anyone has ever achieved anything alone and I decry the myth of ‘self-made’. I see it as toxic and isolating. When someone tells me ‘It’s amazing you did this on your own!’ they may be met with a hesitant smile. I didn’t do any of this on my own. It would not have been possible. I explore the craft of design because of my family, my teachers, my friends, my communities, artists, circumstance, sheer chance, everything.” - featured creative in latest release, Vol III Issue II: BOUNDLESS.
