Born in Gonaives, Haiti, Micheline, spent most of her childhood involved in many school activities such as theatrical drama as well as arts-and-crafts. As member of a student organization dedicated to providing art and entertainment to the student body, she was involved in church activities, which consisted of, poetry readings, choir and talent shows. As a “Jacqueline of all Trades” - a multitalen

ted, singer, writer, musician, theatrical actress and dancer, Micheline, has found that her wide array of creative skill sets lend themselves well to her business. With the help of friends and family, she formed the dance companies, Shango and the Kombit Creole Band. The successful companies put on many fashion shows and theatrical events in venues throughout Southern California. This unique blend of creative mediums allowed, Micheline, to showcase her fashion and theatrical skill sets; fashion design, costume design, production, direction and theater. Micheline, attended Los Angeles Trade and Technical College in California, were she majored in Fashion Design. Trade Tech, as well as, successful collaborations with other talented designers in New York City, Florida, and the West Indies; gave her the desire, confidence and drive to break out on her own and launch her business. Micheline Haute Couture’s flagship store, based in Los Angeles' Leimert Park area, has become a haven for like minded creatives and customers. Micheline, showcases authentic Haitian artwork, provides sewing classes for children and adults, produces and showcases fashion shows and special events where all are welcome.
