Every baby, body, and birth is unique and beautiful. Ultimately, the most crucial aspect is ensuring a healthy baby, mother, and delivery. While you have limited control over your birth, and the day you meet your little one, your baby will arrive when they are ready. However, I took proactive steps to minimize interventions during my labor. I strongly desired to avoid induction, and since I had experienced a natural labor the first time with my boy, I wanted to relive that experience this time with my girl. Now, not that there’s anything wrong with these, but I implemented measures to reduce the risk of stretch marks, cesarean sections, diastasis recti, induction, and other major interventions to facilitate the baby’s delivery. I always knew that I wanted an epidural again and was familiar with the list of accompanying medications that might be required alongside one. Nevertheless, I was prepared for it.
