It’s all in the details! My look for the GRUNGE REIMAGINED challenge featured at LAFW involved a lot of weaving and tying strips of denim and flannel that I cut up intentionally.

The category is GRUNGE & here’s my concept! A hand woven tube top made with strips of repurposed flannel & denim with a lace up back. Over the tube top, we have a throw over also made with strips of denim that I tied to each other. The multi- tiered skirt is made out of different flannels all cut from repurposed garments. The asymmetric overlay has fringe coming out from one side front & sits just on top of the skirt’s waistband. I also created a hand woven choker & ankle bracelet. Happy New Year everyone 🎆 It’s Saturday & I’m back with another backstory. Today I am discussing this little black dress that I designed to go to Paris last summer! One thing that I don’t think that I mentioned in this video is that I did not purchase any new materials to make this dress. I made do with whatever fabrics I had at home & came up with a design based on what was available to me.
