We’re not rushing to a finish line, we’re building something worth the wait. This space is being restored by hand, inch by inch, and every decision is our own. It’s taken longer than we expected, but we’re so close now.

Carnaval de Nice is just three days away! 🎭🌸🎊

The Queen reigns, the Bataille de Fleurs is about to begin, and soon, vibrant striped skirts will twirl through the streets as fresh blooms rain down like confetti, filling the crisp February air with the scent of spring.

Each year, a larger-than-life papier-mâché King and Queen take center stage, leading the spectacular parades along the Promenade des Anglais. With a new theme every year, 2025 brings us the King of the Oceans—a deep dive into maritime myths and underwater wonders, promising yet another unforgettable celebration.

Though the King always meets his fiery end at the festival’s close, the spirit of Nice and the joie de vivre of its most beloved tradition carry on, ushering in a new year of life, laughter, and celebration.

To our friends trudging through the sludge and snow this week—hang in there! Nice is reminding us that spring is on its way. 💐✨ Joyeux Carnaval! 🎉🌊👑

Classes will begin January 6th. The AFL is offering adults and children/teens classes ranging from beginner to advanced, in-person and online via Zoom! This is a great opportunity to continue or start your French learning journey in 2025!
