Nana's boutique

Nana's boutique I am a very crafty person. It has been my passion since I was about 10. My mom taught me to crochet and I made my first afgan. I can make almost anything.

I love seeing what others do and recreate them for myself. I crochet, sew, vinyl for T-Shirts, other vinyl project I am a mom to 3 amazing grown children and a Nana to 6 even more amazing grandchildren. They are the center of my universe and spend as much time as I can with them all. When I am not with my kiddos and grands, I am usually doing some of my crafts. I have had a passion for being creat

ive from an early age. My mom taught me to crochet when I was about 10 and I made my first afghan which I still have. She taught me to sew when I was around 14 or so. For Our First Christmas together as a married couple, my hubby bought me a sewing machine (just like my mom's) and a cabinet for it to fit into. I still have both of those and I try to use them as much as I possilbly can. Sewing and Crocheting bring out my creative side and gives me somthing to do that I love and also allows me to share my creativeness with others. I know many of my facebook friends also follow on Pinterest.com . I love that sight and have found so many ideas that are useful, helpful, and unusual. I have seen on so many of the pins...."where can I get one of these". Well the answer is "Nana's Boutique". If you see something on Pinterest that sparks your interest, share it with me and see if I can make it for you. I also dabble in scrapbooking, making purses and doll clothes (especially American Girl). I can also make organizers for your closet or your car. I got started on this path when I had cervical (neck) spine surgery and could not do anything that required lifting more than a gallon of milk. I am not the type of person who can sit and not do anything....so my youngest daughter got me motivated to use my creative talents. Make sure you check my pics on my site to see what I have already made and what I am going to make eventually. Most of my items have been made for my daughter, Jillian Campoli, to use in her photography business She already has a couple of newborns lined up that she will be holding a session for. I have also had several people enlist me to make items for them. I have been very busy and loving every minute of it. I have a large selection of yarn already in stock ready to make those crocheted items that catch your attention. I also have a large collection of fabric that might suit your needs. If I don't have either the yarn or the fabric....no problem....I'll go find it. I am branching out a little each day into more territories. Continue to check out my site for new additions.

I have been on the cold side since I have to ice my knee, so hubby built me a fire tonight.

"A Lady asked an old street vendor: "How much do you sell your eggs for?" The old man replied "0.50¢ an egg, madam.” The Lady responde, “I'll take 6 eggs for $2.00 or I'm leaving.” The old salesman replied, “Buy them at the price you want, Madam. This is a good start for me because I haven't sold a single egg today and I need this to live.”

She bought her eggs at a bargain price and left with the feeling that she had won. She got into her fancy car and went to a fancy restaurant with her friend. She and her friend ordered what they wanted. They ate a little and left a lot of what they had asked for. So they paid the bill, which was $150. The ladies gave $200 and told the fancy restaurant owner to keep the change as a tip.

This story might seem quite normal to the owner of the fancy restaurant, but very unfair to the egg seller. The question it raises is;
Why do we always need to show that we have power when we buy from the needy?
And why are we generous to those who don't even need our generosity?

We once read somewhere that a father used to buy goods from poor people at a high price, even though he didn't need the things. Sometimes he paid more for them. His children were amazed. One day they asked him "why are you doing this dad?" The father replied: "It's charity wrapped in dignity.”

I know that most of you will not share this message, but if you are one of the people who have taken the time to read this far...
Then this message of attempted "humanisation" will have gone one step further in the right direction."

Thanks for reading.
