Post Surgery musings- The power of the mind!
I was outside with my Weimaraners earlier today and noticed the birds were chirping in spite of snow that was coming down. Me, trying desperately not to slip and screw up the hip repair that my surgeon just did, my dogs chasing snowballs and catching them like it was the best game on earth. (I agree with them, at that moment it really was)
I was thinking about what adjectives speak to where I am in this moment, at this point in the year.
I am 8 weeks post op from a hip repair surgery in Vail, CO. The adjectives that speak loud and clear at this point for me are:
I am...
Committed (to my health)
Disciplined (in my physical therapy and strength rehab)
Driven (to return to stronger and faster than I was before)
We are just around the corner from spring in the midwest, which means indoor training is in full swing and athletes have already been signing up for their 2016 races or already have their schedules full.
What adjectives speak to you? Where is your heart, your mind, your spirit?
The Sports Psychology side of training and racing is just as important as the workouts and recovery themselves. I hope you'll allow me to assist you with the Superbrain power and create a shirt just for you!
