Due to a list of obstacles we've been navigating this year, my family and I have made a decision to close our store front.
As some of you know, two of our kids have had significant health issues the last couple of years and that in itself has been a very long and difficult journey for all involved, especially the kids. Between doctor appointments, emergencies and sheer exhaustion, it's proven over the last few months that I need to be available for them on a daily basis. They are both moving forward and getting help in several areas, the great days are wonderful, but bad days are overwhelming. This combined with difficulties in business and a decline in inventory we have decided closing makes the most sense.
I have LOVED opening the boutique and making some really great new friends from those of you who have ventured into my creative little space. I so appreciate being welcomed into the downtown boutique family, Pilar, Vintage Willows and Cloz to Home, the gals at The Collab and all their staff have always been supportive and helpful and great to share ideas and customers with! It was not hard to decide I need to be there for our kids but it is bittersweet. All of the blood, sweat and tears, (believe me when I say lots of tears), poured into this business not only myself, but my husband Cory, our four kids and my parents and friends who have helped during the months of buildout and last two years in business. They helped build fixtures, painting, cleaning and helping with the store and praying, dealing with shipping issues, inventory, covid, praying and lots more praying!
I'm not sure what the future holds exactly with the boutique, but at this time I will be moving to online and social media sales in January to help with debt accrued over the last year. There is also a possibility I will continue with our mobile, Sabrina, in the springtime, if I still have her and if our schedule allows. I will miss being downtown, having you all stop in and getting to meet new people but I know this is the best decision for our family now. Please continue to pray for us, our kids health, His provision, and the next season God has us in. As always we'd love for you to continue to shop the website.
Thank you, thank you thank you for your love and support!
A 40% off sale will run through Dec 31st, excluding local jewelry and items that arrived this week, (those will move to online sales). We'll be open Thursdays through Saturdays 10:00 - 6:00.
Fixtures, mannequins and display items will also be for sale. Our leased space in Cleveland Station is available to transfer to someone, if you know of anyone feel free to send them my way, it's a great space with great neighbors!
With Love,
Sonja Kness and family
