The first leg of our adventure. Bus to Mexico City, plane to Marrekesh, taxi to our Riad. Heading off for a weeklong workshop and then on to explore Morocco with the Chipster.

I will try to post images of what will be available each day until the event.

These pieces are from 2018!

2007-2022 15 years.
“Nothing lasts forever” an often quoted phrase when referring to the end or demise of something or someone. Those who follow me have probably noticed that I have not been posting for awhile now. After 15 years in business as B. Felt I am closing and stepping away from the intense felting that created my business. The reasons are multi faceted.

Health wise, it is becoming physically harder for me to produce the volumes necessary for the business. The pandemic and turning 70 this year has made me examine and question my goals and my future. The need to create is still a fire that burns in me, but I do not want to do it at the intensity that produced my business. There are many places I want to see and things I want to do and accomplish.

Running a small business is all consuming. I had a joke I would tell clients when they opined “it must be nice working for yourself, you get to choose when you work!” I would smile and reply “yes it is wonderful, I get to choose which 70 hours a week I work” When you work for yourself, there is ALWAYS work to do. When you do take time off, you know you will regret it, as you will only have to make up work later. There is no one else to pick up the slack. It is time for me to step away and see what else is out there with the time I have left on this planet. This is open ended time for me, a luxury I have never had, and I intend to pack in as much as I can for as long as I can.
