✨Summertime and the sea…two eternally linked thoughts! Jane loved the sea, and had traveled to several of the fashionable and healthful seaside resorts of the day…Weymouth, South End, Brighton, Sidmouth, and of course, Lyme Regis. This picture is of the Cobb at Lyme, where a pivotal moment of Persuasion occurs. The second picture is from 1823, showing Lyme as it looked then. Have you been to Lyme? Would you love to go and see it in person?
