Time to go a little political here. We are in a very rural county in Tennessee called Hickman County. It's beautiful, green and very country. A neighboring county, Dickson County, has proposed to build a sewage water treatment plant in OUR county and dump THEIR discharge into OUR Lick Creek. People enjoy Lick Creek and the Duck River by swimming, rafting, and fishing in these areas and waste water discharge would certainly destroy that. The Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation is proposing to deny this request, which I personally hope they do. I've been a resident of this county for 12 years now, this proposition is wrong and should be denied. If you are in our area, and have not made your voice heard, please do.

UPDATE - TDEC PROPOSED DENIAL On April 4th, TDEC stated that it is proposing to deny the WADC's application to build a sewage treatment plan in Hickman County with effluent discharge into Lick Creek. We want to be extremely clear that TDEC's proposed denial of the WADC's application does not yet ...

Do you find that you are a morning person or a night owl? Me, personally, I am a morning person. I wake up early and do my best work (such as creating candles :D ) in the early morning hours. I love the quite solitude, just my coffee, me and the cats. Have a great day everyone.
