“It’s free to be kind!” -Bee Kirby aka “The Flower Fairy” of Lynchburg

Kirby’s energy and heart are infectious. You can’t help but smile when she is around, especially when she is handing you a flower. She spent many years as a wedding planner, she grew tired of seeing thousands of dollars of flowers being thrown in the trash when the party ended, so she started taking them to non-profits and Floralanthropy was born.

What you might not know is the silent battle Kirby was fighting behind the scenes and how each delivery was not only therapy for the recipients — but it was also healing her from a deep depression.

*On a personal note* Kirby was our wedding coordinator. Our wedding was a little over two months after our 10-month-old pug, Pippa tragically died after a brief & very aggressive sickness. Kirby knew how brokenhearted we were. Without hesitation she took our wedding flowers and donated them to the vet office that tried to save Pippa. She truly is a light in this dark world.
