I initiated a conversation with my son (age 10) this morning about Juneteenth and he stopped me short and told me the details! It hit me that the work Nicole McClain and North Shore Juneteenth Association Inc. have been doing for years is quite literally changing a generation and I’m so appreciative 🤍.
I’m also really proud to partner with them on this Juneteenth sock silhouette and I hope to make this an annual tradition!

A note from the Friedman family:

We walk for Cece. Cece was born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. She survived 2 open heart surgeries in her first 8 months of life. Like so many families, we’ve had to learn quickly what it means to navigate the unknown. Through it all, Boston Children’s Hospital has been a place of expertise, compassion, and hope- where families like ours turn when answers are hard to find. That’s why we’re walking in the Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital on June 14, 2026, raising money for the Cardiac Urgent Needs Fund. This fund helps ensure that children get the care they need when they need it most - and supports families facing the unimaginable.

By donating to our page, you’re helping provide life-saving care, advance critical research, and support families with essentials like housing and food during long hospital stays. Your support means the world to us- and to CeCe. Thank you for being part of this journey!
