One of the most common things we hear is:

“I tried yoga once and didn’t like it.”

And honestly? We understand.

Sometimes people leave a yoga class feeling like everyone else knew what they were doing except them. Sometimes the pace doesn’t feel right. Sometimes it feels too quiet. Sometimes people assume yoga is boring. Sometimes they simply never felt comfortable enough to ask questions.

Every yoga studio has its own teaching style, pace, personality, and community. One experience doesn’t tell the whole story.

At Foundations, we believe questions are welcome, support should be available, and beginners deserve an environment where they can learn, explore, grow with confidence, and maybe even have fun.

If you’ve been curious about yoga but aren’t sure where to start, our New Client Special is designed to help you find out if Foundations is the right fit for you.

There is more than one way to practice yoga.

More than one way to move.
More than one way to build strength, balance, mobility, and confidence.

More than one way to reconnect with your body.

At Foundations Yoga and Therapy, we believe movement should be adaptable, supportive, and approachable for real people and real bodies.

Whether practicing in a chair, standing, modifying, rebuilding, or trying yoga for the very first time, your practice begins where you are today.

Consistency matters more than perfection.

Dysfunctional movement patterns involving the core are not always obvious — but they can absolutely affect the way the body moves, stabilizes, breathes, and responds to exercise.

During our Explore the Core workshop, we’ll be discussing common core dysfunction patterns, including diaphragm over-gripping, and exploring how the core actually functions during movement, posture, balance, and support.

Join us for this special workshop with Dr. Zarina Vitebsky, DPT:
Explore the Core: Understanding Support, Stability & Movement

Wednesday, June 10

Hosted at Foundations Yoga & Therapy in Madison, NJ.

This is what consistency looks like.

Not perfection.
Not extreme workouts.
Not needing to “be good” at yoga.

Just showing up consistently for your body, your mind, and your well-being over time.

Strength.
Mobility.
Balance.
Peace.

And it helps to be surrounded by a community that makes showing up feel more supportive, more encouraging, and a lot less intimidating.

Many adults are surprised by how different they can feel after practicing yoga consistently for just a few months.

That is exactly why we created our new 90 Days of Unlimited Yoga option.

Because consistency creates change.

Live Zoom classes are included, and a payment plan is available at no additional charge.

NEW: 90 Days of Unlimited Yoga Has Arrived

We are thrilled to introduce a new option at Foundations Yoga and Therapy — and we truly believe this is a fantastic new opportunity for many of our students.

Our new 90 Days of Unlimited Yoga option was designed for adults who want to build more consistency with movement — without committing to a year-long contract.

And yes… even if you travel this summer, it is still absolutely worth it.

In reality, attending just eight classes per month can already make this option significantly more cost-effective than drop-in pricing — saving just over $170 over the course of the 90 days.

Plus, live Zoom classes are included, making it easier to stay connected to your practice wherever you are.

Whether you are getting started, returning to movement, or looking for a more manageable way to practice consistently, this option was created to help support long-term strength, mobility, balance, flexibility, and routine.

Payment plans are available at no additional charge.

What should your core actually be doing in Warrior I?

In this movement breakdown, Dr. Zarina Vitebsky, DPT, and Sandy explore alignment, core engagement, stability, and common compensation patterns that can completely change how this pose feels in the body.

This is just a small preview of what we will be exploring in our upcoming Explore the Core Workshop on June 10th.

If you practice yoga, teach movement, work in healthcare, or simply want to better understand how your body creates support and stability, this workshop offers practical information you can immediately apply both on and off the mat.

Feeling stronger in your body is not just about intensity. It is built through consistent movement.

Strength is not only about how hard you push. It is also about posture, stability, balance, mobility, control, and building a body that feels stronger, more toned, and more capable over time.

Yoga challenges your body in a way that builds strength with purpose — helping you move better, stand taller, and feel stronger from the inside out.

Many people assume arthritis simply means “wear and tear” and that worsening stiffness, discomfort, and loss of mobility are just something they have to accept over time.

But movement matters.

Research continues to show that the right kind of exercise can help support mobility, strength, joint function, and overall quality of life for many people living with osteoarthritis.

We recently shared a new article on the Foundations Yoga Resources page exploring movement, arthritis, and why staying active often matters more than people realize.

Read the full article here:

New research is changing the way healthcare professionals think about osteoarthritis and joint stiffness. Learn why mobility, stability, muscle support, and movement confidence may matter more than many people realize.
