This is a new something I'd like to do.

A friend asked me to create a kitty figurine for their dear boy who has passed now into the Eternal Cat Nip Field beyond the Rainbow Bridge.

I did it in a single hyperfocus event... painting the polymer clay figurine straight out of the oven, I couldn't even wait to begin creating his beautiful stripes.

And then I wanted to do another. So I did my girl, Kitty Wonder, still with us, but a grumpy old woman whose final years I don't think about.

I have a new block of polymer clay waiting for me to create Fitz and then I may make up a listing for custom polymer cats on Etsy using these as my examples. Dogs too, I suppose, if I'm asked. I only just think of cats because that's who lives with me 🥰

She's done. Five months of crochet, minus the one month where I was pi**ed at it and didn't touch it.

The envelope border is closed with my standard extra-soft plush yarn. I forgot to weigh it, but with three one-pounder skeins of black, plus all the other colors, you can imagine how heavy it is. It'll be too hot to use for a little while, but come spooky season, I just know there's gonna be some great snuggling happening with this blanket.

This was supposed to be part of my purchases made with the final payment of the Mom blanket. But it was in stock now and I'm so close that I just bought it when I saw it.

I don't even know what I want to make or when I will have time but I WANTED it. And I'm so happy to support Sixel Designs.
