It’s always so fun when styling feels collaborative. We create mood boards and bring clothing options, but we always ask the models/clients to bring clothing options similar to our mood-boards too. Devin did not disappoint & he brought amazing vintage options. We had a great collaboration of ideas when styling these looks!

Three looks, One shoot - Styled by Jamie!

Have you been wanting to hire a stylist, but not sure how it works? Well, let me break it down for you!

1. Have a complimentary consultation.

Discuss what type of shoot or project you are wanting (closet refresh, personal shoots, business shoots, etc). The stylist will ask plenty of questions to understand your needs, comfort level, and personal style.

2. Book your stylist!

Schedule dates, rates, and let your stylist start planning.

3. Stylist will provide a mood/inspo board.

This is helpful to give you an idea of the possibilities. For a shoot, it might have color schemes or weather & seasonal appropriate ideas. Or for closet refreshes it might contain ideas as well as shopping links.

4. Time for the job!

If you are booking the stylist for on set or in person styling then your stylist will show up ready to go with options of wardrobe. Stylists also ask for anyone to bring similar items to the mood board. This helps to have even more options to mix & match. The stylist will piece together your looks and add finishing touches like accessories, clipping wardrobe, pin & tuck, etc.

If you are booking virtual sessions then your stylist will have your mood board done by a certain time and you can continue to work with them to tweak & add as needed.

5. Feel Confident!

All of our stylists want our clients to feel confident and happy. We might give ideas and guidance and try to push out of the box ideas but ultimately it is what you feel good in. So trust us but tell us your opinions too. The process works better with communication. As always the outcome we want is for your personality to shine.

6. Work with us again!

Now that you know how easy the process is and you have found a stylist that makes you feel comfortable & confident, let’s keep the relationship going! Maybe you have business shoots, family shoots, or you need help with a closet organization or makeover. Whatever it is we would love to work with you too! ❤️

*Models need updated photos regularly to stay current with their looks, trends, and to promote to clients. New materials can be a game changer for booking potential jobs. Every client sees something different in each photo. Staying up to date & adding variety is key. You never know which photo will appeal to clients. Then that’s where a stylist comes in to help create your looks based on individual needs. For EX. A commercial model & fashion model will need completely different styles for their portfolios.
