🎥 Bra Fitting Series | Santa Recaps Tiffany’s Fitting 👙✨
What did we learn from Tiffany’s bra fitting?

Just like we see in about 90% of our fittings, Tiffany came in wearing a bra that was too big around the band and too small in the cup.
After evaluating her fit and trying different styles, we fitted Tiffany in a 32GG in UK sizing. Depending on the brand and sizing system, that can also translate to approximately a 32I or 32J in US or European sizing.

But here’s the important part: don’t get stuck on the size on the tag!
Not every bra fits the same. Some brands run larger, some smaller. Some bands are tighter or stretchier, and cup shape and construction can completely change how a bra fits.
That’s why a professional bra fitting is about finding the right fit for your body, not simply giving you one size and assuming it will work in every bra.

Bra Fitting Series | Tiffany — Part 4: Where Does the Support Really Come From? 👙✨

One of the biggest misconceptions about bras is that the straps provide the support.
In reality, approximately 90% of your bra’s support should come from the BAND — not the straps!
In this episode, we show you exactly what we mean. We slide the straps off Tiffany’s shoulders, and look what happens… her bra is still supporting her! 🙌

That’s what a properly fitted band should do.
After evaluating Tiffany’s fit, we fitted her in a 32GG in UK sizing. Depending on the brand and sizing system, she may also wear a 32H or 32I in brands that use US or European sizing.

And this is another important reminder: don’t get stuck on the size on the tag. Different brands, cuts, and sizing systems can require different sizes. What matters is how the bra actually fits your body.

🎥 Bra Fitting Series | Tiffany — Part 3: Where Do You Start? 👙📏

Now that we’ve evaluated Tiffany’s current bra, let’s talk about how to find a starting point when shopping for a new bra.
One of the first things you can do at home is measure your ribcage directly under your bust to get an idea of where to start with your band size.

📏 Tiffany measured 32 inches, so we’re going to start by trying her in a 32 band.
But remember — this is only a starting point!
Not every bra fits the same. Some bands are stretchier, some are firmer, and some styles simply run tighter or looser. So while Tiffany will wear a 32 band in many bras, we may need to move her into a 34 band in styles that run tighter.

At LaBella Intimates, we typically don’t need to measure during our in-store fittings. Our experienced fitters evaluate your body, current bra, breast shape, and how each new bra fits. We’re showing you the measuring method as a helpful way to find a starting point when shopping on your own.
And remember — finding the band is only part of the process.

The cup size, shape, and style all matter too.

In Part 1, Tiffany shared her struggles with finding a bra that fits and told us she wasn’t even sure what size she should be wearing.

Now it’s time to evaluate the bra she came in wearing.
During a professional bra fitting, we don’t just look at the size on the tag. We look at how the entire bra fits her body:
• Is the band snug enough to provide support and staying level across the back?
• Are the cups fully containing her breast tissue without spilling or gaping?
• Are the underwires sitting in the correct position?
• Is the center gore sitting properly?
• Are the straps doing too much of the work?
• Is the bra giving her the lift, support, and shapeshe needs?
