We started working on the Cast Iron Sierra Pants almost two years ago.  To be part of the process at every step of the way from concept to sketch to sourcing and refining (and then refining some more) and then FINALLy get a pair in my size on my doorstep this morning was, dare I say, an emotional experience!  They were worth the wait and I don’t think I’ll be taking them off any time soon.  You’ll get your chance to grab a pair tomorrow morning.  Keep your eyes on your inbox for release details and thank you as always for being part of this crazy journey.  We can’t wait to write the next chapter of the Cast Iron story with you -

Tenkara is the traditional Japanese form of fly-fishing that uses a bare bones setup consisting of a rod, a line, and a fly (no reel). This method of fishing dates back centuries in Japan, but has only recently begun to gain attention here in the US in the past decade.  Dan Pierce (pictured) is the owner of Maine Tenkara Guide and the first registered Maine fishing guide to exclusively guide via the Tenkara method.  You can find Dan plying his trade in the rivers and lakes of Northwestern Maine where our Cast Iron lineup usually comes along for the ride.
