Today, with his family gathered around him at home, my great-uncle, Robert Harvey, gained his wings. ❤️

Just a few short weeks ago, Robert was diagnosed with cancer, and unfortunately, his health declined very quickly as the cancer spread. After much thought, Robert, his wife, and their children made the decision to bring him home under hospice care so he could spend his final days in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by the people who loved and cherished him most.

As we all know, losing a loved one is never easy. Along with the emotional pain of losing someone, families are often faced with an unexpected financial burden. Robert did not have life insurance, and over the past few weeks, while his wife and family spent countless hours traveling back and forth to the hospital and caring for him, the bills continued to pile up.

I am hosting this event to help ease some of that burden. All proceeds from the event, along with any donations received, will go directly to Robert’s wife to help cover his burial expenses and support her through this incredibly difficult time.

If you are unable to attend but would still like to help, any donation—no matter the amount—would mean more to our family than you know. I will be making the trip later this week to personally deliver the money raised to his family.

💗 A HEARTFELT THANK YOU & AN APOLOGY 💗

First and foremost, I want to say a HUGE thank you to all of my loyal customers, supporters, and followers. Your continued support of my small business means more to me than I could ever put into words! 🩷

I also want to sincerely apologize to Alyssa Collins and the ladies at Beauty B’Lyss and Norene’s Boutique for yesterday. I am so incredibly thankful for your kindness, patience, and understanding. Thank you for checking on me, bringing me ice, and making sure I was okay. Your compassion meant more to me than you know! 🩷

For those who may not know, living with autoimmune diseases such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis can be incredibly unpredictable. We have good days, and unfortunately, we also have bad days—and sometimes those bad days can be really bad.

Yesterday was one of those days. Between the heat and my body simply not cooperating, I became extremely sick and got to the point where I felt like I was going to pass out. I wasn’t even able to make it completely through setting up, and I ultimately had to call my sister and daughter to come help me pack everything up.

As disappointing as it was to not be able to do what I love yesterday, I am so grateful for the people who were there and showed me so much kindness. ❤️

For anyone who was planning to come see me, wanted to check out all of my goodies, or wanted to have a custom hat or bag made, PLEASE message me! I would be more than happy to set up a special day at my home where we can stay inside in the A/C. I’ll even provide refreshments and food while you relax and customize your very own hat or bag! 🩷🎀
