Over the past several months, I've been learning the art of Legacy Digital Storytelling—combining photographs, narration, music, and family memories into short films that preserve the stories behind our pictures.
On Monday, July 27, I'll be one of four storytellers featured in Beyond the Slideshow, a virtual event celebrating the power of turning photographs into lasting legacies.
I'll be sharing my own story, "The Names We Give Away in Love"—a deeply personal journey through four generations of women in my family and the names passed from one generation to the next. It's a story about love, memory, and how the people who came before us continue to shape who we are.
As a Certified Photo Manager and owner of A-Maze-ing Memories, I help families organize and protect their photographs. This experience has reminded me that organizing photos is only the beginning. The real magic happens when those photographs become stories.
