Today was a powerful step forward for the future of industrial h**p in Louisiana. I had the opportunity to visit and spend some time with and other incredible minds discussing research, cultivation, and the long term potential of h**p across our state.
From seed to structure, this is exactly what the Delta initiative is about. Building a complete ecosystem where agriculture, science, and sustainable construction come together to create new opportunities for farmers, students, and industries throughout Louisiana.
Walking through the greenhouses, reviewing trials, and discussing research collaboration reminded me how important partnerships like this are. Real progress happens when universities, producers, and innovators work together toward a common vision.
Louisiana has the soil, the talent, and the leadership to become a national model for h**p and sustainable building materials. Many great things are already in motion, and this is only the beginning.
Grateful for the conversations, the hospitality, and the shared commitment to pushing this industry forward.
