S E L F . M A D E
These past few months brought back a desire that was my second nature before I moved to New York over a decade ago. This interesting and challenging time we are all experiencing brought many questions about the life we choose to live. More recently I started thinking of all that I created so far during my time here on earth. And beyond the fashion, the fabrics, the sewing, the runways, I rediscovered myself from a time that I created things that were not physical, yet meant the world to me.
Before fashion, music was my everyday creation. So many words, melodies, and of course memories of pure creation. while going through old recording of mine, so many songs that never been heard before by others - I found this song, “יהיה לי” which means “I will have” in Hebrew. And even though I wrote it in the first decade of the millennium, it couldn’t be more relevant to everything we are experiencing these days. So I thought, maybe it’s about time to let a song out of the drawer, out to the air, and hopefully make others simply happy.
I apologize for those of you who don’t understand Hebrew, but let me translate few of my favorite lines from this song:
“On a solitary terrace
Pink armchair
Street sounds
I sit next to the person who does me good
And takes care of me, closely
So I will have everything
I will have anything
I will have
And all that I am missing,
Won’t matter to me any longer
I will have”
I wish us all to appreciate, cherish, and respect all that we do have today, because everything else simply doesn’t matter.
Love,
Daniel.
