I’m so blessed to be trusted by a bride who gives me the freedom to be creative. 🤍 From choosing the perfect fabric together to following her through the entire design process, I was able to bring the vision I had for her custom bridal veil to life.

She simply told me she wanted lots of sparkle to complement her sparkling gown—and from there, I got to create. ✨

This custom sparkle wedding veil is finished with scattered crystals, iridescent sequins, and delicate pearl and crystal dangles throughout the upper portion, creating a soft, dimensional shimmer that catches the light with every movement.

A little dreamy, a little magical, and completely made for her. ✨🤍

Katrina’s Heirloom Redesign

There is something so special about taking a piece of a mother’s wedding history and giving it a new chapter. 🤍 Katrina’s heirloom dress was originally made many years ago and was significantly smaller than her current size, so our first fitting was all about carefully studying the original construction and discovering what we could preserve and work with.

For the first fitting, we removed the original mermaid flare section and opened the existing seams to see how much of the dress we could let out and whether additional panels would be needed. Thankfully, there was enough fabric within the original construction to make the transformation possible. We fitted and pinned the bust, mapped out where boning would be added for support, and explored the neckline — whether to keep a sweetheart shape or create a clean straight-across line — as well as how low we wanted the back to dip. We also decided to incorporate lace around the hem to beautifully tie the original details together. Straps or a strapless finish will be decided at the second fitting.

When you come for an heirloom redesign consultation, we begin with your story — how you hope to wear the piece, whether it’s for your rehearsal dinner, a second wedding-day look, or another special occasion. We’ll talk through which details you want to preserve, which you’re ready to let go of, and how we can thoughtfully transform the original garment while keeping its sentimental heart intact.

A new chapter for Mayka Vogue ✂️🤍- .alteration

Offering bridal alterations has been a goal of mine from the beginning, and I’m so happy that I’m finally able to make it happen.

I’ve always wanted to do more than create the finishing details for a bride. I want to help with the gown itself — making thoughtful adjustments that help it fit beautifully, feel comfortable, and truly feel like hers.

I’m excited to welcome an experienced seamstress with over 10 years of experience to the Mayka Vogue family. Bridal alterations will be offered by appointment from our comfortable home studios in Mansfield and Winthrop, Massachusetts.

From hemming and bustle work to fit adjustments, delicate detail work, and redesigns, we’ll be bringing the same care and attention to detail to every gown we work on.

And of course, I’m still creating the custom bridal accessories you know Mayka Vogue for — from veils, gloves, hair accessories, and face accessories to other personalized bridal details. I’ll also continue offering heirloom wedding dress redesigns, giving meaningful pieces a new life while keeping their sentimental value close.

I’m incredibly excited for this new chapter and grateful for every bride who trusts me with such an important part of her wedding day. 🤍

Before color photography became part of everyday life, every love story, every milestone, and every cherished memory was captured in shades of black and white. After 33 years, her wedding dress has been given a new life. We carefully used every inch possible to create two keepsake robes — one for Lisa and one for her daughter — something they can cherish while carrying the memories of her wedding dress for years to come.

Lisa was also the very first client to give me the opportunity to step into heirloom redesign, which makes this project even more special to me. Thank you, Lisa, for trusting me with a piece filled with so many memories and for inspiring the beginning of this new chapter for Mayka Vogue. ❤️

Harmony isn’t about perfect symmetry—it’s about every detail existing in quiet balance.

As I worked on this handcrafted floral wedding veil, I kept asking myself, “Does this feel balanced?” Not because every flower had to match, but because every flower needed to belong. I pinned, unpinned, stepped back, studied the silhouette, moved the flowers, and repeated the process over and over until everything simply felt right. Every blossom deserves to be seen, but none should overpower the whole. The lace, the soft tulle, the negative space, and the gentle drape all work together to create movement that feels effortless. To me, a veil should never wear the bride—it should become part of her. When every element lives in harmony, the veil doesn’t just complete the look; it quietly becomes a part of the bride herself.

In just a few days, it will officially be one year since this styled shoot—a milestone that will always hold a special place in my heart. It was my very first time producing an editorial shoot, and the beginning of so many dreams becoming reality.

This shoot also marked the debut of my very first bridal gown design, paired with an oversized veil that I created. Rather than hiding the crinoline cage, which is traditionally worn underneath a gown to create volume and shape, I chose to bring it to the surface and make it part of the design itself. I wanted to celebrate the craftsmanship behind bridal fashion by transforming an element that’s usually hidden into something bold, sculptural, and beautiful.

One of my favorite parts of the day was having Echo, our family horse, join us. He was a little shy at first, but as the shoot went on, he slowly warmed up to Leila. Watching that quiet connection unfold made the images feel even more authentic and full of life.

Looking back at these photographs, I’m reminded of how far this journey has come. They represent courage, creativity, and the willingness to take a chance on an idea that once only existed in my sketchbook.

To everyone who was part of this day, thank you for believing in my vision and helping bring it to life. Your talent, kindness, and support mean more than you know. I’m excited to continue building meaningful relationships, collaborating with incredible creatives, and creating even more beautiful stories in the years ahead.
