ESG is an American dance punk/funk/rock band formed in the South Bronx in 1978. ESG has been influential across a wide range of musical genres, including hip hop, and dance-punk. The band’s track “UFO” is one of the most sampled songs in history.
• Burnt Sugar Arkestra Vernon Reid
Burnt Sugar Arkestra are afro future music pioneers. The band’s music combines the influences of funk, jazz, rock, reggae, soul, hip hop, heavy metal, and 20th-century classical music. Vernon Reid is the guitar player for Living Colour and one of the best guitar players ever.
• Sunny War
Sunny War is an American singer and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. Her sound is frequently categorized as folk punk, while her songwriting is often described as introspective. Her songs blend rock, gospel, and country music.
• Nabihah Iqbal
Nabihah lqbal is a British musician, writer and broadcaster from London, England. Her 2024 release hit many people’s favorites list!
